In many small ways the Leela is twice as nice as similar "five star" hotels in the area:
* Organic teas in the room.
* Granite bathtub.
* Amazing volume of hot shower water.
* Organic tea selection.
* Eight bottles of water instead of 2.
* Spacious rooms with Amazing views.
* Quiet inside and out.
* Complimentary apples and cookies in room.
* Easy check in and check out.
* No lines in lobby.
* Fantastic welcome drink.
* Evening musical performance on the water.
* Good art in the rooms.
They can improve their phone concierge comprehension. Speed is very slow: 15-60 minutes for almost any request, including a cup of tea in the restaurant. Buy the included breakfast and dinner on Expedia when available, since it is worth it and cheaper on Expedia.

Vanakkam, my husband and my father stayed here for three nights as part of our pilgrimage to Tamil Nadu. We loved the friendly service, we had a breakfast package and it was worth the extra money. Hotel is beautiful. We did not get to use all of the extra amenities but the pool, reception areas and dining options are very good. The only complaint is when our driver had to pick us up and drop us off, the wait time was more than 10 minutes. Also, for the couple of days we were there, we could not figure out a direct sea access...which was disappointing because the point of us booking this hotel was to do early morning walks and meditation on the beach. The room was spacious and the workers provided a roll bed for my dad.

Leela Chennai is a phenomenal property, I stayed there 7 nights in a row and I must say that I was super impressed with try upkeep of the hotel, which is a number 1 priority for me. The fresh flower arrangements, a very humble staff, awesome breakfast buffet, the ocean views and on and on. I will like to call out Ajit from Concierge to be an amazing host and guide.

I cant say enough about this beautiful property. This is our second stay in 5 months. The ambiance, the scent of jasmine when you enter, the decor, the service, the food, all exceptional. The rooms are so well appointed and very stately and elegant.

Beautiful place and in top condition. There seems to always be some noisy conference or party happening at the hotel, so if a quiet stay is preferred suggest looking somewhere else.

We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet! We also really appreciated that your hotel provided services like tours, arranged car travel around the city as well as between the airport. Spa was a wonderful experience, and your staff is very warm and welcoming.
