예약시 3명으로 요금을 선불지급했지만 체크인시 추가요금을 요구하였습니다. 싱글베드 2개로 예약하였지만 적용되지 않았습니다. 욕실의 드레인밸브가 고장이 났었으며. 가장 최악인 것은 객실내 먹나남은 쿠키가 그대로 세팅되어 있었습니다. 체크인시 1시간 이상을 소비하였습니다. 전반적으로 실망이 커서 추천하고 싶지 않습니다.

We stayed in premier room. It was GREAT, GREAT, GREAT. Morning buffet was excellent. The one disappointment is not available of free Wifi. The hotel is close to Marina beach, but little far from central of city.

Everything was great but neighborhood

There are times when five stars just aren’t enough. Staying at the Leela Palace was one of them. This hotel is truly outstanding. We have seldom been made to feel quite so special as we did at the Leela Palace - and that is truly incredible from a large hotel. We have just completed a 12 week trip through Southern India and Sri Lanka and stayed in some wonderful hotels. My wife and i both consider the Leela not only the best on the trip, but one of the best we have ever stayed at. Staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely super friendly and every single one we met (and we engaged with a lot!) went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. It seems almost unfair to give special mentions given how lovely everyone was, but we would particularly like to thank the following Vishnu - the sommelier who introduced us to Grover Shiraz (Vijay Amritraj edition). Chandra and Kumar who looked after us at the pool Yasodha and Jeetu in the bar Vigneshwar, Kunal and Shaghul (plus Jayesh the sous-chef) in the restaurants Sonali and Shomali in Guest Relations. A massive thank you to the entire team at Leela - we flew out of Chennai with a very warm and happy feeling because of you.

The staff went above and beyond and took care of our family. Leela's customer service is the reason that we prefer this hotel amongst all other 5-star hotels. Our Chennai experience meant that when we went to Udaipur 2 weeks later, we booked Leela Udaipur too, and as always has an amazing experience. Thank you Leela Chennai team for a great stay!!

I recently stayed at The Leela Palace Chennai, and while we faced several challenges during our stay, I would especially like to appreciate Duty Manager Arghya Sarkar. We had issues with the room, AC, and food service, which left us quite disappointed initially. However, when we met Mr. Arghya Sarkar, everything changed in terms of how we felt as guests. He was extremely polite, patient, and genuinely attentive. He took the time to listen carefully to our concerns without interruption and handled the situation with professionalism and empathy. In hospitality, problems can happen — but what truly matters is how they are handled. Mr. Sarkar’s calm demeanor, respectful communication, and sincere effort to make things right made a real difference to us. Because of people like him, we would still consider coming back to The Leela. Thank you, sir, for restoring our faith and for showing what true hospitality looks like🙏

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Leela Palace Chennai. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with stunning views and very comfortable bedding. The amenities were top-class, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel truly reflects luxury and elegance. Every detail was taken care of, making our stay relaxing and memorable. Highly recommended — we will definitely return!

We arrived around 2:00 AM. Unfortunately, the first room assigned had a defective door lock and could only be opened with the staff’s master key. The butler acknowledged the issue but did not offer a solution, so I went to reception myself. The manager apologized and upgraded us to a Royal Club Room, with the understanding that Royal Club amenities were included. We had also booked the airport pickup service (4,425 INR for 16 km), which felt quite expensive. Throughout our stay, communication was inconsistent. At check‑in, we were told we had lounge access, but on the third day we were informed it required an additional paid package. Staff members confirmed the lunch buffet was open until 3:30 PM, yet at 2:45 PM we were told it closes at 3:00 PM. The Saturday seafood buffet also caused confusion: the menu listed drinks without prices, and we were initially told drinks were included, only later corrected that only non‑alcoholic drinks were covered. Many services rely on confusing package structures, leaving guests with the feeling of being upsold. Dinner at the XO Restaurant (7,000 INR for two) was disappointing: dim sum wrappers fell apart, the Hongkong Chicken was dry, and the seabass was overcooked. At checkout, an extra beer was mistakenly added to our bill. The room was clean but below Western 5‑star standards and would benefit from modernization. The location is excellent, but service inconsistency affected the stay. Hope to see some improvement next time

A beautiful hotel with stunning decor and fabulous grounds. The room had everything required and was spotlessly clean. What makes the hotel particularly special are the staff, from reception to those in the restaurant, all were so nice, particular mention to Kumar at the pool who was so lovely and helpful.

Everything was amazing in this hotel. Food, gym, spa, rooms, view etc etc.

Everything was perfect here Ajit the concierge went out of his way to make my stay magical. So sad to have had to check out! The property stunning, the amenities opulent love love love this place

Rita and Riya were both excellent hostesses. They truly looked after all of my whims. They were both incredibly family and polite. Mr Ajit, the duty manager helped out when i has travelled away and left my passport at the hotel. He then orchestrated a safe retrieval of my passport. I must say i am astounded by the standards of this hotel. I would not hesitate to return here if i ever visited chennai again.
