It's a reasonable walking distance from the world-renowned Malioboro street, and that's a good thing especially when it comes to long weekends, when all the streets heading to Malioboro are jam-packed with tourists, international and domestic alike. The 1 km, 30 minutes or so walk could be tiring for some, but if in the end of the walk you are greeted by friendly staff, go up to your floor, enter your very cozy room and throw yourself to your very comfortable bed, that's a distance worth walking.

Really enjoyed my stay at Grand Senyum Hotel, super comfy with a touch of elegance!
The room was clean and cozy, with a big soft bed and everything I needed. It felt like a nice balance between homey and stylish.
Ambiance/Facilities: The interior is quite grand and classy, especially the lobby—bonus points for the cool aquarium, it’s such a nice touch! The rooftop pool area has a lovely city view, great for relaxing after a long day. Overall, the place feels peaceful and well-kept.
Staff Assistance: Friendly and helpful. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly, and the staff were quick to respond when I needed anything.
Highlights: The grand interior, city views from the rooftop, and the aquarium in the lobby made the whole experience feel a bit more special. Also, strong AC and quiet rooms—major win.
Price: Definitely good value for what you get. Comfortable stay without breaking the bank.

I had a wonderful stay at The Victoria Hotel Yogyakarta. The staff were very friendly and helpful—I really appreciated being allowed to check in early, and the clear explanation of the hotel facilities was a nice touch.
The room itself was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. I was truly impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail. Parking was also easy and felt very safe, which added to the convenience.
The location couldn’t be better—right in the city centre and just behind Ambarukmo Plaza Mall, making it super easy to get anywhere.
Overall, I’m really happy with my experience here and will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Jogja. Thank you so much to the team for the warm hospitality!

This was like my 3rd time staying at this hotel (i lived in Jogja tho). What i like the most from staying here was the location and the details of how their HK staff made up our room! Unfortunately i forgot to ask his name (the way he’s tidying up our stuff/really detail-oriented kind of person, was perfect). I was amazed by how he organized it (the position of the toothbrush, soap and our belongings such as snacks & clothes/it was laying around before). The reception team was also helpful (we hv arrived in Jogja from Jakarta around 4am, so sleepy and exhausted). At noon i decided to bring my scooter to the hotel and hell ja, the security/all the people in the basement is really nice (full of smiles and friendly). He assisted me with my scooter! Gut gemacht👍🏻
As a person who also work in the hospitality industry for the past 10 years, i wrote this review from my honest experience & would love to recommend this hotel to you (whoever reads this).

The Alana Hotel & Conference Center Malioboro Yogyakarta by ASTON
Spent time here with my family and might be going back here if travelling again to Yogyakarta. The price is good, the location is the best near the city centre, breakfast is also good. You can taste "Jamu" special beverages from Indonesia.

The Wayang Homestay
I have visited here twice for long vacations and short vacations, there has been no change in terms of service and cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the staff was friendly and helpful.
