DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station

Beautiful property in central location within 5 minutes walking distance to the train station & shopping. The staff was wonderful, friendly and welcoming.

Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast covered all tastes. Gym was good for a basic workout. Room was best kept at a low temperature. Good access to Kyoto station and amenities.

Good size, good service, good location. I loved the kimonos they had in the room, that was fun. Nice bathrooms and good water pressure. Room under beds to keep suitcases so could still have room to walk.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic, a lot of choices for every taste including traditional Japanese foods.

First your greeted like walking into your home, you just feel welcome. Murray & Andy got us taken care of with ease. The location is great with everything you need a short walk away. Train station across the street makes day trips very simple. We had the daily breakfast and it was very nice. My only advice is if you want your eggs or omelette cooked a bit more simply ask. We were going to ship our luggage online, but when I checked with Eriko at the front she very politely said while she felt this option for same day transfer to Tokyo seemed good it was also a very good option to use their overnight agent at a fraction of the cost. She then helped us get organized and made all the arrangements for us. She is truly amazing and very kind. The laundry machines they had took about 2 hrs for a full was and dry, but it was great. Lastly they had an ice machine, first one we saw, it was great too. If you’re going to Kyoto seriously consider staying here. The staff truly are so polite and kind, wanting you to relax and enjoy your stay.

Double Tree Hotel by the Kyoto Station was very well located at a convenient location. Awesome hotel with great facilities and fabulous breakfast. Very spacious room and bathroom. Very well maintained. Great experience.

Less than 2 years old, the property finely integrates both modern and Japanese architecture. Staff is friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast and dinner buffets were comprehensive and delicious. Conveniently located within a 4 minute walk from Kyoto Station. Dozens of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Two convenience stores minutes away. Overall, a great experience.

Excellent location a few blocks from Kyoto station. Good value for the area. Comfortable beds and great housekeeping! Kimono robe pajamas and western cotton robe are both provided. I’d stay again. Bar/lounge happy hour was nice and the burger we ordered after 10 days of Japanese and Korean fiod was delicious.

The most comfortable beds and pillows! Room was a bit dark and dated looking vs what I was expecting but very comfortable. In a great location for the main train station and local buses made our sightseeing trips time efficient. Breakfast was good with lots of choices but the arrival at breakfast and having to wait to be escorted to a table was very slow and frustrating. Only 2 washing machines in the laundry room which is not a lot for a hotel of this size. Overall happy with this hotel and would stay here again.

We had great stay here while in Kyoto. Easy access to the train station and friendly staff as well. The breakfast is a must while staying here. It's got good variety and a salad bar for all your daily fiber intake. There's always a line forming outside the restaurant in the morning, but once it's moving, just a few minutes of wait. Staff at the reception are helpful, luggage storage made it convenient for us to walk around before check in time. Rooms are clean and location is good.

Clean, new, nice location. Great service. I almost did not pick because Doubletree brand in US is more like 2-3 star than 4. This was very much a 4+.
