Fantastic hotel, and great owners. Loved my stay here. Clean, excellent location in echo land. I hope to be back one day.

This was a cozy accommodation with charm. The owner and his family were an absolute delight as was the free hot beverages they provide in the second floor public lounge. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. He gave us a ride to our restaurant of choice and he's even dropped us off at a nearby attraction.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodge was very convenient to the local gyoza joint which we went to three nights in a row.

The best part was the staff. Hazu and his wife, Hitomi, are friendly and go way beyond the call of duty. They are a charming couple anxious to help. We arrived in April, after the ski shuttle bus was finished for the season. Hazu picked us up at the JR railstation, and took us to Happo One Ski Resort each morning and picked us up each afternoon. He helped us make arrangements for our following destination. Our accommodations were cleaned daily. Staying in a smaller inn gave us the opportunity to interact with a Japanese family. Would definitely stay again!

The owner picked up and dropped me from Happo bus terminal. He drove me to ski resort and restaurant. The breakfast provided is excellent. Highly recommend!

Our hosts were absolutely the most amazing hosts ever - pick up and drop off to the local bus station; beautiful meals; helpful advice; discounted ski tickets; and just so so friendly - they became like family the first day. What the place skips in spark and pazzaz, it makes up ten times over in everything else that you will need. Honestly, I would rather stay here than anywhere else in this area.

It’s old, but great cosy little place with my own bathroom , walking distance to Hakuba base camp with plenty of buses. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Pension Karunaju for a week's snowboarding in the Hakuba area. Kazu, his wife and the whole family are lovely and very friendly, hard-working and hospitable. The room was comfortable and was cleaned on a daily basis. The ski drying room and common area came in particularly handy as did the private onsen/hot tub! The pension is right in the heart of Echoland, making it an ideal base for exploring the local restaurants. The bus to the ski hills left from right outside. Would definitely not hesitate at all to stay here again!

清潔で居心地がよく過ごすことができました。ラウンジにゲームがあったり、コーヒーやお茶のセルフサービスもありがたかったです。

施設は古かったけど、清潔にしてあり、くつろげるスペースもあり、ご夫妻がとても優しくフレンドリーでした。

親切で素敵なオーナーご夫妻が迎えてくれます。　閑散期という事もありましたが、静かでゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。　また利用したいと思うペンションでした。
