One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Hotel Universal Port truly exceeded my expectations. The facilities were excellent, and the room was incredibly spacious, clean, and smelled great. I also appreciated the thoughtful layout—the toilet was separated from the shower area, which added extra convenience. Amenities provided were more than sufficient. The hotel is clearly designed with USJ visitors in mind, as the checkout time is very considerate—you can check out at 11 AM, which makes a big difference after a long day at the park. My room had a harbor view, which was lovely, but next time I visit USJ, I’d love to stay in a room facing the USJ Park, especially because the evening sky looks stunning from that side. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Universal Studios Japan. I would definitely stay here again!

The cheapest Universal Hotel. The location is just across the street from Universal Studios. There is also an official merchandise store inside the hotel. There are many restaurants inside the hotel. The rooms are very big. You can directly view Universal Studios. Check in/out is fast. All the staff are friendly. The coolest thing is the breakfast, there are many variations. If you want to find other food, just walk to Universal City, there are many restaurants. Close to Lawson, walk 50 meters.

Highly recommended hotel if you want to go to USJ. The quadruple hotel room was so comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. Services were excellent too; not to mention that the breakfast experiences were wonderful with a large variety of Japanese and non-Japanese breakfast options to choose from. My family had a really great time there. I will definitely come back again.

I had an amazing stay! The team, the ambiance, the room, service, foods, hygiene, view, amenities, everything was immaculate. Oh and I love the fact that the restaurant is practicing sustainability. The public restrooms are clean. Absolutely loved it ❤️ 100% going to bring my family back. My sister & kids love it!

Amazing staff went above and beyond every time, organizing taxis, minion pop up card in room for daughters 21st birthday, organising bags to go to Tokyo exemplary service. Great size rooms, appreciated the three way bathroom with seperate toilet, shower and vanity. Rooms immaculately clean. Great stay for Universal - absolutely buy fast pass best investment - easy walk (can be done without stairs) when accessing Universal walk for meals to and from. The Universal Port Villa right next door had a Lawsons for in room drinks and snacks and last minute supplies. Great stay booked 3 twin rooms and very impressed. Each floor had ice machine and microwave too if needed. Stayed 4 nights rather than change hotels and loved hotel stay, but spent a lot of money on taxis to go to Osaka train station for Shinkansen to Hiroshima, cooking classes and other tours when time was of the essence which costs $100+. Trains are doable of on a less hectic schedule. So would split stay next time for park days only. A le carte Dining options limited if you don’t like buffet. But enjoyed limited bar menu lone evening.

Canadians. Travelled with my husband, two tweens, we had a wonderful time at Universal Studios. Impressed with quality of Hotel and proximity to the train. The property is a taxi ride from the train station. Friendly staff. I was the only one in my family who took advantage of the breakfast. It was pricy at about $40 CAN daily, however I justified it by making it a healthy vacation “treat”…no konbini sandwiches! I found there were many options, Japanese and Western style. I adored the fried octopus, kimchi and eggs. It’s the way it’s prepared that makes it special as a foreigner. Check out was easy. Thanks Expedia!

We stayed at the top floor Ocean Deluxe Room. Benefits included a separate, dedicated check-in desk, free daily drinks (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and small bites at Lounge R, dedicated seating area at breakfast. The Room was spacious (for Japanese standards) and setup for our family of 4 (ie 4 twin beds). The hotel is conveniently located near USJ (~5 min walk). They also have a pretty good dinner buffet for a decent price. All and all a really good option if you plan to visit USJ! Note: although we had purchased Express Passes, we still highly recommend getting to the park early. We went on a Tuesday (less busy day) and arrived at 7:45am (park opened at 9am) and the line was already pretty long as people started to arrive as early as 6:30am to line up before the security gates (which opened at 8:15am). This all to get access to Super Nintendo World. However, because of the weather (rainy) and crowd levels, Super Nintendo World was actually open to all visitors so there was really no need to arrive that early :)

Hotel was great but this was my least favourite of my stay in Japan. Style over substance came to mind. Great location, so close to Universal and the train station, very clean and great amenities but I just was not a fan. I found the staff much friendlier and more helpful at budget hotels plus I had the worst sleep at this hotel due to other noisy hotel guests. The rooms definitely need more soundproofing!
