It’s was our third time at Sakura Hotel. Kept coming back because of its location and staff friendliness. I told the owner I will see him again next year. PS: Walking distance from Hitotema Bakery. Their honey toast bread remains the best bread i’ve had in Japan.

My friend and I had our annual week trip and Sakura was just right where we needed it to be - not too far from main areas (transportation, markets, restaurants plus Ueno) but well located at a neighborhood area. The staff was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful from checking in to when we have questions to getting a taxi for us when we checked out. The rooms and the shared areas are always cleaned. The room itself is straightforward - a clean bed, clean floor, a table and a working AC and a window - perfect for us who was gone most of the day. I would just say that we only ate once at the free breakfast as it was only toast, soup and coffee/tea - you can buy your own full breakfast. My friend and I rarely got hungry in the morning so we skipped the rest of breakfast for the next 4 mornings. I do would like to say, the bunk beds was surprisingly comfortable and I was on the top bunk so I slept good every single night. Overall, I would stay there again if I ever come to Tokyo! A lowkey but international type of stay. Oh! Did I mention, the 24/7 access to in-house drinks and food was a huuuuge plus for downtime. Thank you for having us Sakura

Well located and good for the price. Not much space for our luggage. Liked the location, not too far from the train station and not too touristy while still having a really nice shopping streets. Walking around at 6AM is great with all the temples around. What makes it a 3 star for me: lack of space and mainly the odor on the fourth floor. It really smelled bad, not like the other floors. Still, liked it enough to stay there at the end of the trip too. For reference, 2 adults with 15 and 16 yo.

With the understanding that this property features shared restrooms and showers, and spartan but clean and comfortable rooms, this is a good place to stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and speak English. The hotel is in the very charming neighborhood of Yanaka, and within 10 minutes' walk of two train stations that can get you wherever in Tokyo you need to go.

Bread and soup breakfast was basic but tasty. Rooms were nice and clean and the shower rooms were very nice with orange oil infused soap and shampoo. My father and I had a great time here and would absolutely go again.

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, and great facilities. My only complaint is the breakfast buffet; honestly, it's very expensive for what they offer (bread, coffee, and a soup that isn't really soup). The location is excellent. The neighborhood is very nice and safe, close to two metro stations.

The staff was great, everything was clean & it is in a great location, only thing that would have been nice is if there were more options for the breakfast buffet since toast and soup get pretty repetitive after a 4 day stay. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay & would recommend to international travellers!

The staff were amazing, the complimentary breakfast was great to get our day started without delay, having laundry available definitely helped us the day prior to our departure, and the area around the hotel has a lot to explore as well being 10 minutes away from a trains station that even connects to Narita Airport.
