Best view (especially for sunset and sunrise!) just a few minutes of walk from the shopping mall. The foods for breakfast are various and delicious! The room's very comfy and clean ♡

Front desk office was attentive and polite. There was also a counter which had fruit-infused cold water. This is an excellent way to beat the heat! The room was clean and quite spacious. I tried the breakfast and the choice of food was excellent and delicious. There was cereal, salad, yogurt, juice, western dishes, nasi lemak with delicious rendang, dim sum, etc. There was also tea, coffee, and fruit-infused water which was a great healthy option. Hotel location is excellent (less than 5-minute walk to Queensbay Mall, short drive to airport). Highly recommended hotel for your next stay in Penang.

As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.

Deposit MYR 100.00 is required upon check-in. The accommodation accepts cash, debit or credit card.

Minimum age to check-in is 18. Minor guests must be accompanied by adults upon check-in.

i. Effective 1 June 2014, the City Council of Penang will impose a Local Council Tax of MYR 3 per room per night for 4- and 5-star hotels and MYR 2 per room per night for 0- to 3-star hotels. The property’s star rating will be in accordance to the rating from the Local Council, and should the rating differ from the website, the Local Council rating will apply. This fee is payable directly to the hotel upon check-in and is not included in the room rate and taxes stated herein.

Great hotel if you do not want to be staying in the middle of the Georgetown traffic. Next door to the higher end Queensbay Mall and within walking distance to local eateries and convenience shops, you just need to set up your Grab account for a ride to town or the airport. Staff service was excellent, attended to all of my small requests.

My partner and I stayed at The Eastin as we were running the Pantai Marathon and the start line was 300 metres from the hotel. Our stay was comfortable but nothing special. The hotel is a bit tired compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in Penang and the 4 star rating is pushing it. The rooms are small and the upgraded “sea view” rooms were not worth the money. The view was primarily other buildings and roads. There were no towels at the swimming pool, we had to go up the gym to find the last two. The gym looks great although we didn’t use on this occasion. In short, a fairly good business hotel or somewhere to stay for one night close to the airport.
