Beautiful Hotel, lovely room. Very safe. The walk to the center is really nice! Also if you are interested in exploring the botanical garden and the zoo it’s very close! The breakfast is delicious and the staff were very nice.

This was a clean and quiet hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff was very accommodating. The only issue we had was at lunch one day. There was only one other group of four people in the restaurant, but it took 45 minutes to get our food (a sandwich and some pasta). The manager was extremely nice in comping our meal, since it took so long, even though we said it was fine. We enjoyed our stay here!

Our check-in experience at Hyatt Regency Amsterdam was far below the standards expected from a Hyatt property. The front desk staff member who checked us in was rude and dismissive. We arrived at 10:30 AM after a long flight with a small child and politely asked about an early room. His response was sarcastic and unprofessional. We were repeatedly told to wait with no clear explanation. At 2:40 PM, we were told the room was being inspected and to bring our keys shortly, but everything was then delayed until and beyond the 3:00 PM check-in time. Guests who arrived after us were given rooms before we were. While waiting, this same staff member had another employee tell us how to sit on the lobby couch, yet later did not correct a large family whose teenager jumped and lay on the couch. That said, Jenny was amazing during our stay—professional, kind, and truly helpful. Unfortunately, the terrible check-in experience with the front desk staff member negatively affected our overall impression of the Hyatt brand.
