Very nice hotel with a good location. Plenty of food options and one tram stop from the Rijksmuseum. Van Gogh a short walk from Rijksmuseum. Restaurant downtowns serves a local bar at night and breakfast (included) was great. Only issues, smoke alarm came on at 1am only to be false alarm. Lightning in room was poorly placed so the room was dim. Hot and cold water wasn't at an extreme at either end. Overall a good hotel with friendly staff. I would stay there again.

It was a wonderful experience, the location was very central and the rooms were clean.

Location is perfect. 2 mins from buses/trams to everywhere, even airport. Very central. Staff is helpful. Room was nice, clean. Coffee and hot water kettle in the room with tea. Also complimentary water daily. Will definitely come back here.

I really loved staying at The Diamond. It's in the heart of Amsterdam so getting around wasn't too bad, super easy to navigate. The only ding I would give, and it's really not that big of one, but they say they have room service but they did not. Not a big deal. The heated floors in the bathroom and the bidet made up for it. I would absolutely stay here again.

There were many nice things about the property, but the room was very small. The towels and robes a bit stiff. The bed was very comfortable. However there is a Dance Club in the basement playing music until 3 am Friday and Saturday. The vibration and sound of the bass was felt on the 4th floor, interrupting sleep both nights. The trams right outside the door were a pro (easy access) and a con (noisy day/night).

The rooms are much smaller than I anticipated, however the room was very clean and they made great use of the space. The location is great, super walkable and centrally located. The staff however is questionable, when we arrived the young lady checking us in was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately another woman attending us for a late check out was extremely short tempered and quite rude. My husband was able to deescalate the situation and she later then apologized. Overall it was an enjoyable stay but definitely not the greatest service.

Perfect location on the Leidseplein, Freddie access to all Tram transportation through the city, sunny room overlooking the plaza, fabulous food options at the Heineken hoek, and nearby foods. Room is compactly efficient with an abundant array of Nespresso, tea, water. Friendly, professional, and educational staff.

Hotel itself was ok , good location . The room however overlooked a noisy internal courtyard with exhaust noises etc . Very small and dark room. Shower not great , no where to hang a towel . No remote for tv . Sheets were nice . Had several emails offering a late check out but when asked they said we could not have a late check out .

I’d read a review that said some staff were not welcoming. Total opposite for me. They were all very friendly and helpful. Maybe you get back what you give?? Hired a bike one day….really easy and good quality machine. Room was very small but clean with good views which was more important to me. Had drinks in bar, also very good. Great place and obviously handy location for trams, going out and Vondelpark.

Lovely hotel, clean and with friendly staff. It's in an excellent location to get the tram anywhere you needed. Loads of bars and restaurants near by as well as boutique shops. Would stay here again without a doubt.

After a long day of shopping and walking around Amsterdam, we returned to the hotel exhausted and ready to rest. Unfortunately, at around 1:00 a.m., the smoke alarm started going off every 10 minutes. The first time it happened, I woke up in panic, shaking and completely disoriented. This continued repeatedly until around 3:30–4:00 a.m. We went downstairs several times to inform reception, but nothing was properly resolved. As a result, we couldn’t sleep until around 4:30 a.m. While the rooms being small and dark was disappointing, the real issue was the complete lack of response and consideration from the staff. At the very least, we expected an apology, a late check-out, or some form of partial refund for the severe disruption to our night. None was offered. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend staying here.

A lovely little gem of a hotel right in the heart of Amsterdam. The room was like a neutral colored jewel box. So pretty and comfortable.

Excellent hotel central to most activities/sights/shops in Amsterdam. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go within 10-20 minutes. There's a team stop beside the hotel but beware: there isn't an easy spot to park if taking uber or taxi. They will drop off/pick up about a block away. The room we stayed in (circle city room) had a comfortable amount of space for two people. Don't choose this room if you need quiet - the music from the nearby restaurants/bars can be heard but we weren't bothered by it as we were exhausted and the bed & duvet were fantastic. The bathroom is big and very clean. Towels are plush. The only miss was that there wasn't a place to hang our towels: no hooks nor bars. Staff at the hotel and Heineken Hoek Grand Cafe are friendly and really made our two night stay very pleasant. You get tokens for free drinks at the restaurant. Mini bar is free and stocked daily. They stored our luggage before check in and after check out which was very helpful. Would stay here again.
