Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao

Older hotel on the water. Nice views and property was nice. Cannot swim at the beach. The room was older and the toilet did not work. Breakfast was really good.

Amazing breakfast it had just about everything and it was very delicious. The restaurant was good too. The pool was wonderful and the location is incredible. It’s an older hotel but the hotel staff made it excellent I highly recommend this hotel

My wife's birthday was a success. Her and our kids loved their stay and we will be back.

"I had a wonderful stay at the Insular, thanks to the outstanding views, lush landscapes, and the rich history of the property. The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly welcoming. However, I was disappointed by the condition of the beach. There was a significant amount of debris and garbage flowing from the canal, to the point where I found myself picking up litter during my visit. With a bit more attention to beach maintenance.

Everything was good except for the centralized air condition, feels like an efan only!

Reception was great. Nestle at the reception was very helpful. We were able to check-in an hour before regular check-in time with no charges and was also upgraded to deluxe standard room with no extra charge. Pizzaiolo staff esp Janfer and Jannah were amazing. Bath and shower supplies provided including slippers in room. First day, we had to call in maintenance because shower drain was clogged - took a couple of calls before service came. Housekeeping was a bit slow and not properly coordinated. We always have to ask for another bottle of water as there are 3 of us and they only give us 2 bottles at a time. In-room service was good for the breakfast. We scheduled delivery for the following day and it arrived on time. All staff are courteous, nice, polite and helpful. Be also wary of some of those bellboys who would try to sell you van tours but you can check FB for cheaper rates. There were only 3 of us and we were able to get an innova for 8am to 7pm for choice of 6-7 places to visit at P3800 compared to what the resort employee offer of P7000. We also spoke with a server who was on on-the-job training at the resort but was not given any monetary or food allowance. There were a couple days we got notice that there is no cable tv available then another day with water service interruption.

Location and the ambiance is very good. Staff are very good. Room is outdated, fixtures and furniture old. TV doesn't work, movie channel freezes all the time. Amenities are limited. Breakfast buffet not many varieties , limited selections. Pool nice and maintain, except pool towels are small regular towels, one i got , got hole and small stains.. need to update their towels with the right pool towels.

Amazing everything

The breakfast buffet was great with a very large selection to choose from. The bath water was warm and comfortable. Airconditioning was working perfectly. Beds were clean. I took my dirty towels to the workers that cleaned the rooms for new ones. I did not have room service to clean the room. But they called everyday and offered. I can not say anything bad about my experience here. Every employee were top notch on kindness and service. Shuttle service were on target. I had to catch an early flight and shuttle was ready for me at 3am. I will return here every time I would go the the Philippines !!!!!!!!

Great service, staffs are hospitable. BUT, the food and drinks could use a little work. 😉

Everything was absolutely perfect except for one thing and that was the bathroom. The bathtub was obviously extremely old as the bottom of the tub was chipping away. It looks as though it might’ve been repaired many times over. Also, there were some tiles that were separating from the wall behind the toilet. Add some separation of wood from the door panel where the hinges are. If the bathroom had been immaculate then I would’ve given it a five star review.

the location and staff were awesome, the property appears to be at a point that they should start "rebuilding" not remodeling. starting from the rooms one building at a time should be leveled an rebuilt from the pipes up. id love to see it with a complete makeover in 5-6 years. Love the chain hope it continues.

Rooms are old but has very courteous staff and good breakfast buffet.

Always an enjoyable stay

The hotel has gorgeous ground and very nice breakfast but rooms need lots of fixing and updating. Sayang because grounds and location are very nice

Everything was great but the place looks about old and the floor in the room needs to be updated. Service was exceptional.

The hotel and staff was really accommodating in the hospitality was great... Food is excellent, along with location. But the ACs doesn't work properly, no water pressure and barely any hot water.
