We had an amazing stay here. Everything was fantastic, facilities, staff, my sole gripe was they had just 1 coffee sachet, and then 2 decaf…but I wouldn’t have used them anyway

Fabulous stay in this brilliant location. About 50 metres from one of the exits to Waverley Station to the rear entrance of the hotel. The front entrance is beside the city tour bus stops and Princes Street is about 100 metres away. We checked in on-line however as we arrived early we wanted to drop our bags while we went out to explore Edinburgh. Unfortunately we had to wait in a queue for about 10 minutes as there were a lot of people checking in.

Lovely hotel. Excellent staff, used the bar which was great. Rooms were clean and tidy. Location excellent too. Can’t fault

We had a fabulous overnight stay. The hotel upgraded us to a premium room for only £14. The room had great views over Edinburgh towards Fife. We had great service in the bar. The waitress was very friendly as were all the staff.

Reasonably clean and comfortable. Requested room with a view of castle and Hotel was accommodating. However, room was at the end of a hallway and at times was cold. Arrived Friday afternoon and left Sunday morning. Was in Edinburgh for my birthday which was on that Saturday. For awhile Saturday morning (on my birthday)was unable to unlock door to get out to brunch due to faulty door lock, was stuck! Had to call font desk to get us out. Staff summoned maintenance personnel to make repairs. Staff apologized profusely and gave us extra drinks voucher and delivered box of chocolate and card to help celebrate birthday.

This is my second visit to an Apex hotel in Edinburgh; the first one was in the Grassmarket. The service was exceptional and the hotel itself was of a very high standard. I was also delighted to receive an upgrade and free drinks. I was even more delighted to find a small tube of handcream and another of lip balm in my room. Two things that I had forgotten and needed. If I had one tiny complaint, it would be that the queue at reception was very long during check-in and check-out.

Very clean, comfortable and great staff. Also great location. Only area for improvement in my opinion relates to entertainment, the tv wasnt smart, didnt have a working menu or accessible screensharing
