Glad Mapo

Great location, next to underground lines and Arex line station, giving direct access to airport in around 45mins. Fridndly staff, great breakfast (additional cost about £12). Allowed my friend to store bike in room. Good gym (in terms of hotel gyms).

Glad Mapo is a great hotel. My room was super comfortable, roomy and quiet. The reception staff were very helpful and communicated with me in English. The hotel is located a few minutes from a large train station that gave me easy access to any area in Seoul. I will definitely stay here next time I visit Seoul.

Glad hotel was perfect. There is a train station just outside the door, a 7/11 in the lobby and restaurant onsite. The restaurant food was amazing! The staff of the hotel were all so nice and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and stocked with all the essentials. The area around the hotel had lots of places to eat and explore. Not sure about parking, as I didn’t have a vehicle. The train honestly was perfect. In my interacts with the hotel staff, we got by on simple English and smiles. It was great. I highly recommend the glad mapo hotel. I will certainly stay here again.

Excellent location for easy airport transfers

Hotel is located just above the train station, many malls and eating places around. We were given room at highest floor as requested, hotel allow us to store our luggage after check out. The downside is the double room is a tad small, breakfast quality average , top up of food rather slow…

Easy access to Gimpo and Incheon airport. Hotel located above Gongdeok subway station.

Hotel is right next to the subway exit. Chain coffee shops around the corner and walkable distance to restaurants. Actual powerful working hair dryer, great water pressure in the bathroom. Power outlets are loose….

it is close to metro, which cannot avoid wind and rain

The hotel is conveniently located near Gongdeok metro station. However, navigating the underground walkways and transferring lines can be time-consuming, and the trains are infrequent, so we often took Uber instead. Our high-floor room had a partially obstructed view due to a nearby office building, so we kept the curtains closed most of the time. The lobby features a convenience store and a Wowpass machine, making it easy to grab essentials, groceries, or top up the Wowpass card, which we appreciated. The staff were polite, and the room was mostly clean. However, the lack of air conditioning in autumn and winter required us to open the window for ventilation. The room was also dusty, which caused discomfort and left visible dust on surfaces overnight. The lighting was dim, and the glass bathroom door didn’t close fully, which could be inconvenient for some. Overall, the hotel offers reasonable room rates, essential facilities, and easy access to nearby convenience stores, cafes, and restaurants. While there are some drawbacks, such as dust and ventilation issues, it’s a decent option for travelers seeking affordability and convenience.

Front desk staff were always available to help us with storing our luggage and provide directions. Property is modern and clean. We chose to not have housekeeping come into our room but they knocked on our door later in the day to see if we needed towels or other items. Excellent amenities in room. We saw from maps that Gongdeok train station was nearby but found that one of the entrances was just outside the hotel entrance and thus made it so convenient to hop on to the train that took us to the airport! The hotel lobby also had a small 7-11 and a kiosk that made it easy for us to convert Japanese yen we had to Korean won. Would definitely come back when/if we were to return to Seoul.

Great overall

The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Staffs are professional. Facilities and room amenities are very good. Hotel is very near good dining places but not overly crowded with noisy shopping streets and bars. I would recommend this hotel for you stay in Seoul.

Lighting at wash basin in the room would be better if not motion sensor kind. Would be more convenient to have the washing basin inside the toilet instead since there isnt one. Service of Reception and Room cleaning staffs are excellent. Location is very convenient.

Friendly staff, clean, and accessible to many shopping areas and transportation to reach to and from major areas

First time staying at this property. Room was definitely clean, but the bathroom could use a bit more cleaning. The bathroom smelled a little, and I don't know who designed the tub/shower area but water gets all over the floor (Don't know why there is no sliding door nor curtain). The tiles near the bathtub were also pretty grimy and was not pleasant to look at considering how clean the other areas of the room was. Don't know if I'd choose to stay here again next time! The Taxi drivers also could not seem to ever drop me off in front of the hotel. The map would always take them somewhere else :/ Hotel definitely does not have a decent drop off area.
