Great place honest people, i left all my money in my room, they found it and called me it was 2000 euros. They were great people and the hotels novotel are all great worldwide.

Hotel is hectic, lots of people busting and bustling at all times.
The buffet breakfast was pretty good, but coffee makers were often not working and hot food was under cooked or raw - staff just could not keep up with the volume of demand.
Location is in a nice neighborhood with restaurants and shopping. Front desk gave us a suggestion for an authentic Spanish dinner and it was EXCELLENT.
It’s close to the Sagrada and a short cab to the beach, but not very central for other attractions.

The most unfriendly staff at the front door. Beds that consisted of only a fitted and flat sheet. Had to call down to ask for a blanket (you would think that’s a basic bed item). Weird bath shower combo tub making it difficult to get in and out of. The building itself is so poorly indicated the taxi driver could barely find it. And so difficult to get taxis to pick you up from it as well. The stupid elevators and the requirement to scan your key card which never worked. And then the lights also wouldn’t stay on despite the card being in. What a terrible representation of this chain. Like get your act together.

They first gave me a dirty room after 2 hours wait before check in .. and then changed my room with complementary card of 3 free drinks at the bar which is end of not working at the time I was trying to use it .. I was charged a 100 euros for a roof top dinner at check out after I was told no bill need to be paid that night !! The place is a scam .. I was promised to get the charge issues resolved and still nothing yet

It was our first stay in Barcelona with my family, the room size and service wasn’t good at all. The shower had issue we call the service desk but no one cared and didn’t get fixed. Room didn’t get cleaned during the day, we have to check out early we were lucky to find some other hotel but since was last minute had to pay much more. We never come back there

staff is super nice and they do above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and comfortable, reception and restaurant people specially. breakfast is delicious and generous. of course it would be good to be closer to the city center but it just takes 30 min walk or 15 min by taxi, so not bad.

It was nearly ten pm when I checked in, but there was no problem and the clerk was very helpful. I hadn’t prepaid the breakfast but I did it anyway and it was very good.

The bathrooms where dirty and we called for service with no response. The sink water would not drain. Lastly, the beds where not comfortable. Service was not responsive at all.
