Outrigger Koh Samui

A lovely hotel in Lami. It is a 10-15 min walk on the road or along the beach to get to the main hustle and bustle of Lami. So this resort is nicely tucked away from it all. The resort itself is split by the main road that runs around the island, which is a very busy road. However there are traffic security that help you cross at the crossing, so it is not a major issue. The main hotel is lovely and very colonial in appearance. There is a small pool near the breakfast area. I found it strange that this area was only used for breakfast and that they did not serve and food or drinks here. But it wasnt a problem, it meant we had a nice area to sit with our own drinks and food. The rooms are very nice. Air con was a bit noisy. We had interconnecting rooms with the kids, which worked great. Only issue for me was that we supposedly had a balcony view. But is was awful. It overlooked some apartments and kitchen in the next building, it also did not have any furniture to sit on (I noticed others did). So it was pointless having the balcony. The main resort area over the main road was very nice. Nice pools and on the beach. This is not a private beach, so others are around. But it was fine and secure all the same. There was a small pier with a outdoor gym (bit run down) and a massage hut on, which was great. The restaurant food and drinks were lovely, with a huge offering off food inc western plates. The hotel is well maintained, breakfast is good quality, rooms are spacious. Attentive staff - our request to clean the room first thing in the morning was met every day without fail. Crossing the road to the beach was really easy as the two helpers are always there to stop the traffic. Kids club turned out to be amazing with well trained staff that had many ideas and projects on hand. We ended up using the games room on the daily basis for pool and air hockey. We also liked the location as it was super easy to get around and having two 7/11 right there proved really handy.

Everything! Althought the hotel is a bid outdated the service and cleanliness make up for it.

A great resort hotel with good food, excellent staff and really good facilities. Lovely pools and a good club for kids. Some really nice restaurants nearly too. Rooms are new and really nicely equipped and very clean!

I took severe vomiting and couldn’t make the trip to Samui, notified the hotel in advance however they refused a cancellation and refund stating that I needed a hospital certificate. Anyone with common sense knows you don’t go to hospital with vomiting, they can’t help. You just drink water and wait for it to pass. The hotel we booked in Koh Tao was totally understanding and gave a refund without fuss. Be warned

The building is really beautiful! The housekeeping does an excellent job of cleaning the room when we were out and about. The staff were very friendly and attentive without hovering. The pools by the beach were beautiful, clean, and pleasant to sit by. The beach is small but private. We found a couple of really delicious restaurants to walk to. Massages both at the Outrigger and nearby were fabulous. It was easy to get a taxi right at the entrance to the hotel.

The entire experience at this hotel was amazing! It was literally the best experience at a hotel I’ve had in over 10 years. Massive credit to the staff and hotel owners. This place is better than you expect! The room was amazing - King with pool view. The breakfast was amazing 10/10. The staff.. oh my gosh soooooo nice!! Well done Outriggers. Well done.

Very friendly staff throughout the entire resort, all eager to help and make the stay as perfect as possible. Rooms were kept clean and the staff were helpful and gave extra items as needed. Waterslide was so awesome! Happy hour is a must here from 4-6 with bogo cocktails! Would stay again!!

Nice hotel with friendly staff, road between sites is a pain and noisy when by the main pool. Bit over the top for food and drink, paid £2.50 for a bottle of water that's 20p elsewhere

Breakfast was awesome...staff super helpful...two 7-11's within a minute walk...easy to get a taxi...great local restaurants and massage shops within a minute walk...traffic guards to get to the pool/beach. Would absolutely stay there again.

Nice hotel but way too many children there for me so I left. It was like a children’s breakfast club in the morning and the pool was rather wild lol. You can walk straight on to the beach but unfortunately where we were there was lots of seaweed but if you walked a little bit along Lamai beach it was lovely. Reception staff are wonderful.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Outrigger. From the great breakfast selections to the lovely guys at the road crossing, my stay was perfect. My room was comfortable, clean and perfectly refreshed when I returned from a day by the pool. The manager Uma was always accommodating with any request we had. My 10 nights with friends at the Outrigger went too fast.
