Nightelier Mermaid Waters

Noisy people & banging doors disturbing us through the night, & the beds were so soft I was afraid of falling out of mine. Couldn’t find a stop mechanism on the rollers so the bed would move whenever sitting on them or turning over in bed. Honestly , everything else was great, a nice wheelchair friendly room, a complimentary drink & breakfast was pretty good. Variety not so much, but staple was good enough. A microwave would’ve been handy, but no biggie. It’s not a bad review, just a couple of things stood out , the noise mostly. Couldn’t sleep on the bed too well,& the pillows were too bulky which gave me a sore neck so I slept with no pillow in the end.

The room was lovely! A very nice place to stay. However, our doona had some (minor) stains on it that weren't changed with room service. Also, a note about the included breakfast. We were there for 3 nights, and ate breakfast there over the 3 mornings. I wasn't worried about the dishes, but it was a shame that the boiled eggs were finished and not refilled the first day, second day was fine since we came early, and the last day -- early again but stayed for longer -- no boiled eggs were provided nor available with no one available to request for them. I had a lovely time however, and all staff were lovely. I hope just to make a note about their breakfast.

Our room was lovely, very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very soft and it would have been nice to have it firmer. The shower was a beautiful rain shower and it was also spacious. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the restaurant was lovely. We will definitely be staying here again.

Room was good and clean. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was the best part. We were only there for the night ao did not get to enjoy the pool but looked beautiful. Clean place and secure parking.

Couldn't get Netflix and I was told yeah sorry some rooms don't work and we can't fix it. Shower door doesn't close properly. Bird droppings all over the window. Bistro amenities were dirty and no toilet paper available. Food was great and the staff were friendly.

Clean large room, helpful staff, good pool, great breakfast and good evening meals. Nice area to stay

There was cigarette smoke wafting through the building when we arrived to our room. The hallway carpets were in need of a vacuum. The breakfast buffet wasn’t as special as it was made out to be. Otherwise good value, especially during the school summer holiday period.

Great value for money. Good breakfast spread, pool open til late, pool towels available, secure parking. Drink vouchers were a great touch too! Great location between surfers and Burleigh

Awful experience, especially dealing with the staff at the office. Upon arrival we asked if it was possible to check out late because we were traveling with a baby and she usually needs to take a nap late in the morning. They said yes you can check out a 12am instead at 10am. So we says thank you, that was just an extra 2 hours but it was better than 10am. The following day when ready to check out, we had to deal with a different Lady. She said because we checked out at 12 they were going to charge us an extra 100$ we said no that had not been mentioned to us at all. The worse thing was that during that night, right in the middle of the night the emergency alarm starting to ring so loudly. It was saying, emergency, go out immediately. It was kept repeating that sentence and the alarm would not stop. So all of us, all the customers had to run outside in their pijamas, that was very disturbing especially for our baby, the alarm was so loud, poor thing she was so disoriented and exhausted. So all the customers, in the middle of the night, had to wait outside in their pijamas, it was raining like crazy that night. Eventually we were they told to go back in our room without any explanation. We later found out they just had an issue with their alarm system. We were exhausted, after that it was impossible for our baby to go back to sleep. Even when we mentioned that to the office lady she continued insisting we had to pay the extra 100$ that was so unkind and unreasonable
