The hotel itself is very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The food is excellent—I especially recommend the burger made with local beef, it’s outstanding. However, one big issue is the way it’s listed on Expedia. It shows up as a hotel in Rouyn-Noranda, but in reality, it’s located in Amos, which is about an hour’s drive away. I searched specifically for hotels in Rouyn-Noranda, and this property came up even though it’s nowhere near the town. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but travelers should be aware of the location misrepresentation before booking.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Hotel econo-one. Clean, comfortable, safe, and the restaurant next door serves excellent meals. I would stay here again.

Although a bit dated in some respects, recent renovations are evident. The room was clean, the bed comfortable although a Queen would have been appreciated rather than a Double. The continental breakfast had great hours for those on the road early (5:30am). The room was affordable and priced accordingly. The Chinese buffet next door was excellent. The exterior (front) was paved however the rooms at the back were off a laneway which is narrow and largely unkept. The back was gravel with overgrown grass and plenty of potholes. The hill is steep so be careful if you have a vehicle with a low chassis. The step and back porch need some TLC as some of the boards are split. If I rated the overall experience a positive, is that for the price the accommodations were better than expected. The hotel is also within walking distance to the hotel and for this visit it was our primary reason for being in the area.

it has a little unusual set up. to access your room, you must go through the bar and restaurant. check in was good. we were in quebec and don't speak french. they were able to speak english to us which helped a lot.
