Loved it. We all enjoyed our stay

For an overnight stay in a city centre I think £46 is ok. It's clean. Good bathroom. Comfy (ish) bed. Been several times never had my sleep disturbed. Lots moan about it on Reddit and other sites. All I can say to them is have a few nights at the Grand Scarborough. This place is a palace compared

Run down, tired and wholly disappointing. Staff clearly too much to do so no time to attend to visitors needs. Breakfast shambolic, overcrowded and poor quality. Thankfully I was able to be entertained by the wonderful city and chose, after the first day to get up and out early and return late to sleep.

I will call Adelphi my home in Liverpool . I had feel save,cozy , confortable. In a luxurious vintage room .

The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a city break. Right in the heart of the city, this classic hotel is definitely worth a visit and we will return again next year.

This hotel is one of the most beautiful I have seen. I'm well travelled and have seen a good few. The Adelphi is old, very old. There are signs of age but this gives it even more atmosphere. One pays 3 star rates for a 3 star hotel which presents as a 6 star! Love it and will return.

Nothing unique about the hotel, very dated, beds very uncomfortable street noise was horrendous, with noise from local bars and student bar outside our window, road traffic noise was awful. We couldn't sleep because of the noise from outside and inside the hotel with drunks causing so much noise in their rooms. Very disappointed with our stay, had to ask 3 times during the day for extra duvet to pad out the mattress, staff very short on reception with people waiting ages to be dealt with. Very unprofessional set up in my opinion. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Love this hotel staff are brilliant and room was good but the pub across the road kept us awake till about 1am Feel that the pub could turn music down and shut open doors. This could be arranged with pub. Also people sitting outside asking for money during the day and drinking.

Adelphi is a jewel . You can walk to Albert Dock . So many business near. And is like to be travelling in time . I loveit

Easy to find. Parking was close to the hotel. Lounge area was lovely, some wonderful features in there. Room, basic. Appreciated the fan and the long black out curtains - worked a treat! Did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment, but lots of venues to choose from within walking distance of hotel. It was a great base to explore Liverpool - we did a lot of walking.

I did hear bad reviews before booking. However I always make my own mind up as we are all different with different expectations. The hotel is beautiful and areas are outstanding. I couldn’t fault it and already booked for December.

Great hotel for an event in Liverpool, staff were very helpful, the room was fairly small but clean and comfortable nonetheless. Amazing building in a great location to see the city. 5 minutes walk from the railway station was also very handy.

Hotel needs to be closed down and revamped. It is such a great location and size, but anyone going to the 6th floor couldn't in one lift as button broken. In the other lift it didn't go to the 2nd floor, so customers had to go to the 3rd floor and walk down. I booked 3 rooms. My son's room had no hot water in the shower but he did in the sink. He also had wall paper was hanging off the wall's and the room stank of damp. My room had a random step 2 foot inside the door but generally was fine. No rooms had ceiling lights and just had side lamps you could use. In 2 of the 3 rooms guests only had 2 plugs under the TV to use to charge devices. But you had to unplug the TV and kettle to be able to use any plug.s

Pros: A beautiful historical building, friendly welcome and loads of parking for a charge of £13 a night. Comfortable bed with good cotton linen and a great shower. In a very central location for restaurants, shops and numerous tourist attractions. We were catching an IOM ferry which was an easy 15 minutes away by car. Overall fairly priced too. Cons. The website described at least 2 on-site restaurants, but there was only one serving a self service buffet, which we passed on. Glad we did, as breakfast was very disappointing. Plenty of choice, however the cooked part was all overcooked to the point of being burnt, particularly the sausage, black pudding and bacon. A shame as that was the lasting impression.

Hotel is hot and does not have air conditioning. Consistently 10 degrees warmer inside than out. Staff was clearly overmatched in doing their job. I requested an additional fan and never received it. Asked one staff member if I could add my postcards to their outgoing and they said yes, but when I attempted to drop them at the front desk they said they couldn’t. Elevator buttons did not work or worked sporadically. Beds in the room were very poor quality. Limited outlets in the room meant I had to unplug the lamp or tv in order use anything else. Tv was the size of computer monitor. Interior walls were dilapidated. Had to break paint seal on window to open as it was the only source of cooling in the room. Very bad experience, would not return.

The car park need to be tarmacked. The room decor was bland, wall paper grubby and no complimentary bottle of water to drink. I entered the Hotel bar last night and the bathroom was filthy The breakfast experience was poor - very poor range of fruit and cereals and poor quality coffee with background music that was too loud. On check out I was asked that full address be placed on my invoice which I need to claim for work purposes and was told this was not possible. I wont be back.
