Excellant stay, some work taking place on the outdoor spa area, although did not affect the stay. Relaxing stay on Lake Windermere with lovely views from room and bar area balcony. A very well presented hotel with modern rooms and facilities. Situated a few miles south of Windermere centre.

Fantastic stay. Room was modern and comfortable. Very clean in the room and everywhere else. The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. The view was amazing and we had a very pleasant stay

Gardens completely inaccessible due to building works. Great disappointment due to lovely online pics influencing our choice. Although we were told of works after booking, the inaccessible gardens were not mentioned. Staff said we could have cancelled after booking, but that was not really practicable for us. Staff explained the safety reasons for the situation, but no recompense was offered. Lovely view from our room and bar terrace.

Shout out to hardworking Kieran, Paulina, Morgan and Katie and Kira in the reception. You all made our stay a very pleasant and enjoyable one. We will definitely tell our friends and families about this Hotel with its ambience environment and stunning views.

Room was very stylish but needed dusted. Breakfast was very nice along with views and bar area.

We stayed in a standard hot tub room. It was nicely presented and comfortable with a lovely view of the lake from the hottub. The hot tub was so relaxing we went in 3 times even though we only stayed one night. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and a small seperate shower which seemed strange with a hot tub as well. It would have been better with a larger shower without the bath. The shower tray had quite a lot of black mold around it which there really is no excuse for, we reported this to reception along with the faulty hairdryer, hopefully these issues have been sorted for the next guests. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and the staff worked hard to make sure we had what we needed. Our steaks were not cooked to our liking at first but this was quickly rectified for us. We didnt have breakfast so can't comment on that. Unfortunately, we wouldnt stay here again as we have some mobility issues and there are a lot of steps and no lift but that is down to our circumstances. Overall a lovely experience.

Lovely staff and spa facilities

Reception staff were very helpful and polite, hotel bar and lounge area were beautiful with amazing views over lake. Spa and pool area were spotless , room was spacious and clean with added bonus of hot tub on patio. Overall excellent stay, would return & recommend.

Despite the ongoing upgrade work to the lower rooms, we enjoyed our trip. Great location, great staff and excellent food, Will revisit another time.

Staff were great. Unfortunatley there was refurb going in outdoor spa area. We did get upgraded to have a hot tub which was great. Outdoor drinks terrace could do with smartening up. Greenary/lighting. Room was lovely.

The staff are the making of this hotel - excellent - only problem we encountered was ordering for evening meal as we sat at our table for 45 minutes before we were told that we had to order at the bar - would suggest a notation on the menu would resolve this. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

We recently stayed here and overall had a fantastic experience. The room was newly refurbished with modern furniture, a large TV, and all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The views over Lake Windermere were absolutely stunning and made the trip feel extra special. The food was excellent throughout our stay, with a particularly great breakfast offering plenty of choice and quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We also made good use of the spa facilities, which were excellent, very clean, and well maintained. There were a few downsides. Due to refurbishment works, guests had to walk through the restaurant in bathrobes to access the spa, which felt a little awkward. The fire alarm also went off at around 11:30pm, causing some disruption. We found the mattress quite firm and not particularly comfortable for our liking. Parking was also challenging, with limited spaces available considering the number of guests, and only one disabled parking space. Despite these issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning, especially for the beautiful location, excellent food, and superb spa facilities.

Excellent stay. Lovely view of the lake. Hotel has been modernised and is very welcoming. Stayed in a room with private hot tub - a real treat after a long walk!

Our room was at the top of the building up several flights of stairs. No lifts. We were assisted on arrival with luggage. The location was great and plenty of parking at the rear if no space at the front. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel.com website was misleading as it didn't mention that there was building work ongoing and the out door pool closed. The scaffolding and other buildings equipment/materials spoiled the otherwise beautiful views of the lake. The breakfast was very nice with a decent choice. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However the floor tiles in the bathroom around the toilet were not fitted correctly big gaps very shabby. Once the building works are completed and the new infinity pool opens it would be worth the price we paid. Someone needs to finish the bathroom tiling it looks bad and can't be hygienic.

Stays there with my girlfriend for my first year anniversary, that staff were absolutely amazing super happy to help with anything we inquired, the room and bathroom were spotless and towels and robe were fresh, the breakfast was amazing and bar had loads of variety of drinks and cocktails

Really amazing stay. Just one downside was the lack of air conditioning. Then again it was 31 degrees outside. Will 100% stay again

We loved our stay at the hotel, the room was amazing and the views that came with the room were too. All the staff were really lovely but the lady in reception who dealt with us was especially helpful to us. The breakfast was really nice too. All in all a really nice night away and would recommend.

The location is the big selling point; views over the lake are exceptional. The menu has a good choice, but doesn't vary from day-to-day. That could become an issue for a longer stay, but if it looks good on the menu, it will be good when it's served. The location sold it, but the staff made the trip exceptional. They really made us feel like ensuring we enjoyed our stay was their personal mission. There is a fitness note; I'm admittedly out of shape, and retirement age, but I found the stairs to be almost too much at times. The climb from our suite to the bar/restaurant left me out of breath for a couple of minutes.
