The room was clean ish but not modern or in good condition. There was a used razor cover in the bathroom which was showing its age hugely. Stained shower surround, rusty screws in the shower and faded tiles. Grout missing and discoloured. Room the same. Handles coming off and chips out of lots of wood. For a premium hotel, I was disappointed.

Very dated, room very warm as air conditioning did not point towards the bed. Slept on top it the bed and still woke several times during the night. Pet hate is no water provided in a four star hotel.

Parking was expensive £35 Asked the hotel twice about parking options prior to stay, no response. Was disappointed to be told at checkin that I had to pay full price. 😑 or take the car park out of the Q car park and pre book.

My room was facing in to the shopping centre, which meant it was very noisy and there was “elevator music” being played constantly that I could hear. I couldn’t open my window because of the noise and I could t even open my curtains as there’s a restaurant directly opposite! The air conditioning was non existent. There was also no gym, but one was mentioned when I checked when booking. Bar prices were also extortionate - £16 for a whisky and coke!

Decent hotel in good location for the arena. Rooms facing into the inner courtyard are a bit dark though so try to get a room with an outside window

Breakfast was lovely, best bit about the stay. The young lad serving us both mornings was really helpful and welcoming. Great chef and lovely fresh omelette. The room was very tired looking and the air con didn’t work, which I reported multiple times, over the two days but nobody came to check it or repair it. It was very hot room. One lovely chap from housekeeping did give us a fan although it was slightly broken, it did help. There were lots of repair items on level 6, broken lift and all looked a bit tired.

One lift was out of order, meaning only one was operational. Hot water was off in the morning meaning a cold shower. Shampoo was empty. Air conditioning did not work meaning the room was 25degrees. Receptionist pointed me in the direction of the gym but didn’t mention I needed a gym pass from him. He looked disinterested.

The staff are friendly and helpfully let me check out 30 mins later than their usual time. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. They had pastries last time that they didn’t have this time but still had croissants and basics. The room was nice and spacious and I slept well apart from the next day when they were doing some building work or something on site outside the room. The main annoying thing was no flannel, has to use a medium sized towel and when I got in the shower, I realised there was no shower gel as the bottle was empty. This was very frustrating and not much you can do once you’re in the shower. They are obviously updating the property and I would definitely stay there again
