Always love to stay at Summit. Clean rooms, friendly staff and don’t forget the Spa. I love their massage service. Close to Robinsons Mall, Starbucks, accessibility to transportation... Overlooking Taal Volcano. Thumbs up! 👍

The place is ok. I’ll give it 5 out of 10. Staff are friendly but the rooms need more care. No hot water in the shower, no lotion, old tv remote, need new batteries, and the AC leaked in our bedroom. The breakfast buffet not bad.

Avoid the hassle. I do not recommend Summit Ridge for a staycation. Pros: Location. Strategically located near Tagaytay attractions, with an adjacent mall for quick needs. Cons: 1. STAFF HAS NO SENSE OF URGENCY. Checked in at 11:00 AM for 4 rooms (8 pax w/ 3 seniors). Promised an update once rooms were ready. By 2:00 PM (check-in time), no rooms were available despite 8 staff at the desk. I watched them accommodate 11 other guests, then I stood in front of them from 2:16–2:25 PM just to follow up. Only when their “sir” arrived at 2:29 PM did they act. We got all rooms at 2:49 PM; but one key didn’t work and needed validation by 2:56 PM. 2. NO TOWELS. None provided upon check-in; had to request for all 4 rooms. 3. BREAKFAST IS BASIC; SERVICE IS SUBPAR. Arrived 7:35 AM (6–9 AM service), no seats available. They offer to set up tables outside with no urgency; followed up by 7:50 AM for us to be seated. NEW attendant didnt know we're waiting! Intentional or not, only our table has NO knives, with smaller utensils. Staff isnt checking the buffet table; I had to request for coffee and butter to refill. 4. ELEVATORS ARE OLD. Both visibly rusty and creaking; only 1 elevator working on Day 2. 5. POOL HAS TOO MUCH CHLORINE. Strong odor; almost not swimmable. Nearby hotels have better, heated pools. 6. HOUSEKEEPING DID NOT REFILL TOILETRIES. No replenishment on Day 2; had to buy from nearby store. Written based on actual experience. No proper apology or compensation given.

We had to kill a large cockroach in the room the first night of the stay. There was no hot water in either the shower or the hand wash basin and we had to shower in tepid water. The shower door did not close and water flooded out onto the bathroom floor creating a situation in which it was easy to slip. We informed the staff of these situations on 2 occasions ... after the second complaint an engineer was sent to fix the hot water situation but was unable to find the problem. There was no attempt to remedy the problem with the shower door.

We’ve had great encounters with staff. They were very helpful with information for tourists. Room service was great with housekeeping. The building had a nice ambiance so, we didn’t mind the poor quality of workmanship with the paint and fine tuning edges of baseboards or grouts. At first we were disgusted to see that the balcony’s metal bars and hinges were so rusty, but as we saw the nearby hotels having the same problem, we simply assumed that the volcano atmosphere might have caused that. So, we just looked pass that, and looked at the bright side. Location is perfect as we expected. The weather was good in the days we were there, compared to Cavite the next town we moved to, humid and hot. Food at the buffet was not all that great compared to restaurants around them, especially that Tagaytay was known to have great authentic foods. It had quite a variety of selections tho. The staff was very open to receive my feed back about the quality of food. Unlike here in the US, there was an abundance of workers, but mostly standing around and chatting among themselves. Maybe a bit more training is needed so guests will feel that they are attended to and feel more welcome as they are asked if everything is ok, or if they need anything else. Whatever happened to Filipino’s smiley faces?

Reasonably priced and clean hotel. Convenient to go to a mall beside the hotel, where places to eat around the hotel can be found. Room is spacious; lobby is decent. Only feedback - hard to communicate with the hotel - sent emails to them since December 7, 2025 re: requests concerning reservation and no reply were received from them. Needed to call them to communicate.

Service was first-class. From front of house to housekeeping and everyone in between, all the staff were very attentive, courteous and efficient with a smile. The only things I can fault are the rooms being obviously dated, the open air side across the rooms which caused the rains to blow into the open doors, and the squeaky left elevator that scared me to no end. Taking everything into consideration, I would book this hotel again when chance permits.
