We booked this room because it states “ Newly renovated” But not the bathroom. Bathroom was dated and in poor condition AND DEFINITELY NOT RENOVATED AS ADVERTISED. It looks like a public gas station bathroom . Hotel rooms facing the highway So traffic was loud all night. You have to call front desk for all the bathroom essentials They did not provide an extra roll of toilet tissue. So have to call and ask early in the morning. If you need additional towel you have to pay for each additional towel If you’re on a budget and you can disregard all mentioned above. This hotel is for you. But if you have extra $100 or $200 more budget per night Please find yourself another hotel. You get what you pay for in this situation. I will never book here again

The staff was very nice, kind, polite, and respectful. The hotel was terrible. No toilet paper upon check in, had to request new towels up to 4 times per day, the shower didn’t have any hot water, the pool was in disrepair with missing floor drains and missing tiles, and many sharp ways to cut your skin. The air condition dripped water in the main hallway of the room resulting in wet and slippery floor, with no towels it was difficult to keep dry. The floor was extremely dirty. The doors and windows are not properly sealed so you hear the constant whistling of wind blowing through seems and rattling the front door. It was bad enough we checked out a day early (prepaid so lost 1 night). I complained and the manager apologized stating it would never would happen again. However, that did us no good. I have travelled to Philippines many times so know what, and what not to expect. This one was just a poor overall experience. I think the deferred maintenance is just too much for them. Again, all the staff were great, kind, and polite.

Buffet breakfast was bad, cold food, fruit flies all over the desserts and food selections are not so good. The gym has no water or towels, carpet was so old. The room door’s paint were peeling off, the balcony rail’s were chipped off. The towels were old and worn out. It’s not white anymore. The only thing nice about the hotel was their proximity to all the restaurants and bars and the staff were all ready to help and responsive.

⭐⭐⭐ Great Views, But Needs Some TLC Summit Ridge Hotel has a lot going for it — the location is excellent and it offers great value for the price. The view of Taal Volcano from our room was truly breathtaking, easily the highlight of our stay. The lobby is clean and well-maintained, giving a good first impression. Unfortunately, that's where the upkeep seems to end. The elevator has a lovely glass window meant to showcase views of Taal Lake, but it was so dirty/foggy that you couldn't actually see through it — a missed opportunity given the location. The hallways leading to the rooms were also showing their age, with visible wear and tear. A fresh coat of paint and some minor repairs would go a long way in matching the quality of the room views and lobby. Bottom line: if you're after that unbeatable Taal Volcano view without breaking the bank, Summit Ridge delivers. Just don't expect five-star polish throughout — the common areas could use some attention to match the promise of that lobby entrance.

Location of the hotel is perfect especially if you want to sightsee in Tagaytay as well as great food places within walking distance. Pool was very nice and had sun loungers which we used. Communication with the staff wasn’t the greatest, prior to booking I had sent messages and no replies. During our stay, we had to call the front desk numerous times for laundry service, which we used and paid extra for same-day service. However one of our trousers were completely stained with yellow after receiving our clothes from the laundry service, which we then followed up with the front desk who stated they were following this up on multiple occasions with no outcome. The laundry staff stated the stain was due to pen ink, however this was clearly not the case as it was multiple large yellow/orange stains (prior to this there were no stains). The next day and our check out day, they attempted to fix and get the stains off the trousers however the trousers were the same and they gave the trousers back wet. No refund or compensation for this incident was given.

The place is ok. I’ll give it 5 out of 10. Staff are friendly but the rooms need more care. No hot water in the shower, no lotion, old tv remote, need new batteries, and the AC leaked in our bedroom. The breakfast buffet not bad.

Avoid the hassle. I do not recommend Summit Ridge for a staycation. Pros: Location. Strategically located near Tagaytay attractions, with an adjacent mall for quick needs. Cons: 1. STAFF HAS NO SENSE OF URGENCY. Checked in at 11:00 AM for 4 rooms (8 pax w/ 3 seniors). Promised an update once rooms were ready. By 2:00 PM (check-in time), no rooms were available despite 8 staff at the desk. I watched them accommodate 11 other guests, then I stood in front of them from 2:16–2:25 PM just to follow up. Only when their “sir” arrived at 2:29 PM did they act. We got all rooms at 2:49 PM; but one key didn’t work and needed validation by 2:56 PM. 2. NO TOWELS. None provided upon check-in; had to request for all 4 rooms. 3. BREAKFAST IS BASIC; SERVICE IS SUBPAR. Arrived 7:35 AM (6–9 AM service), no seats available. They offer to set up tables outside with no urgency; followed up by 7:50 AM for us to be seated. NEW attendant didnt know we're waiting! Intentional or not, only our table has NO knives, with smaller utensils. Staff isnt checking the buffet table; I had to request for coffee and butter to refill. 4. ELEVATORS ARE OLD. Both visibly rusty and creaking; only 1 elevator working on Day 2. 5. POOL HAS TOO MUCH CHLORINE. Strong odor; almost not swimmable. Nearby hotels have better, heated pools. 6. HOUSEKEEPING DID NOT REFILL TOILETRIES. No replenishment on Day 2; had to buy from nearby store. Written based on actual experience. No proper apology or compensation given.
