Bad service, useless management. Lots of staff but none of them know what they are doing. Had spa appointments cancelled but didn’t tell me till I turned up. Food service takes forever. Rooms are not particularly clean. Stayed at many places in Sri Lanka over 3 weeks and this was by far the worst.

This hotel is, at best, comparable to a 3–4 star property. It feels outdated and unclean, and the staff appear poorly trained—restaurant staff couldn’t even direct me to the restroom. They also do not offer lactose-free milk options such as oat or soy, and the restaurant manager confirmed they never have. It’s surprising and disappointing for any hotel claiming a 5-star rating. The room itself was not properly cleaned, including the bedding. Having stayed at most of the other 5-star hotels in Sri Lanka, I found this one to be a significant letdown. I would encourage travelers to consider alternative accommodations

Excellent value and a very varied and delicious breakfast. The room is very comfortable but do t expect a high-end 5 star hotel… it’s still amazing value and I’d definitely stay there again. Again, excellent breakfast!
