This hotel was the dirtiest we’ve ever been in the bathroom literally smelled like urine. The carpets of the hallways were covered in large brown stains, my daughter’s pillowcase had 2/4 size blood stains. The pictures on the website are false advertisement. It looks nothing like this.

Unacceptable Hotel Conditions – Request for a Full Refund I have been booking through Expedia for over 10 years because I have always trusted your platform. Unfortunately, this has been the worst travel experience I have ever had. The hotel is an absolute disgrace and should not be listed on Expedia. Our first room was dirty, had no air conditioning, and was completely unacceptable. The receptionist showed no concern and made no effort to help. After a lengthy discussion, we were moved to another room, only to find that the bathroom had not been cleaned and the trash had not even been emptied. To make matters worse, the neighborhood feels extremely unsafe. Even the hotel bartender warned us not to walk back at night because of safety concerns. I repeatedly tried to contact Expedia for assistance, but it was nearly impossible to reach anyone. As an Expedia Gold member and loyal customer for over a decade, I expected much better support. Although this reservation was non-refundable, I booked in good faith, trusting Expedia to offer accommodations that meet basic standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. Instead, we had no choice but to leave and pay for another hotel just to have a clean, safe place to sleep. I respectfully request a full refund and ask Expedia to investigate this property so other travelers do not experience the same situation. This hotel does not meet the standards your customers expect or deserve.

We appreciated the early check in but there’s no AC in the room, which made it difficult to sleep. Not safe keeping the window open (it’s ground floor - someone can walk in!). Btw the lobby bar didn’t have a wine opener for us to enjoy our French wine in our room before we left. I had to walk to the Standard to get the bottle opened, which was awkward. Not penalizing them for that but odd.

Room was ok, but there is no air conditioning, only a fan which is very loud. So it was hard to sleep in the extremely hot weather. Hotel was very understaffed and there was always a massive queue to get help at reception. Also cleaning staff were supposedly available on request, but they did not come after I put in a request. Overall, place is cheap, lobby is nice, room is fine for probably most of the year. As long as there isn't a heatwave outside.

There was a long delay at check in due to only one member of staff on reception. Staff were very friendly but clearly under staffed. The decor of the hotel looked very tired with heavily stained carpets and sofas. the breakfast was very basic, a selection of cereals and cold meet and cheese. Whilst they had a pancake machine, this was not in use.

The staff were very pleasant; the common area was spacious and very welcoming with many seating options. I believe it was not the norm, but our room was not swept before checking in- there was dust and hair on the floors. An over sight possibly. The bedding and bathroom were clean. This is an older hotel/ made hostel/ and provides affordable stays/ so keep that in mind when you think about hotel room decor and hall way carpets. Overall/ we enjoyed our stay.

Great except the loudness of the other guests. The staff were unable to ask the other guests to keep quiet. Except for that it was fine. But clearly accustomed to loud young school trips. Would not go back for this reason. Was only there because my hotel of choice was sold out.

The bathrooms are old and dirty, I even got stuck in the bathroom my friend had to go down to reception to bring someone to open the door, there was no phone in the room even to call them. And they didn’t seem surprised about the incident at all it seemed it happened multiple times. And they moved us to another room that the bathroom was even worse and I had to cancel the stay ( still struggling with the refund) customer service not the best. They rarely respond if they ever did. End up in a different hotel.

Location of the hotel was perfect, close to train and station, but the good experience ends here. Reception staff were like robots, no welcome and not explanatory. Getting to the room gives the impression that the hotel needs a lift up. Dirty and market floor carpets. Checking in the room was no better; floor not cleaned properly, bathroom looked ok but not what we expected, no bath towels, only two hand towels. Bedsheets not changed, hair and creases from previous stays. We went to reception and they offered us just bedsheets and bath towels, and no help for replacement or cleaning. Bar staff was very good and helpful, he new the area and gave us some good tips to enjoy our trip in Brussels. We thought things were getting better but late at night while enjoying our drinks next to the kitchen something which we didn't expect appeared, putting that nicely it was "Jerry" likely not chased up by Tom. That's was awful. We didn't book breakfast so I can't comment about it, but you can imagine how that would have been.
