Booked this hotel because of the pool and gym which I used every day. Be aware that there are swimming lessons on a Saturday morning so you won't get a quiet swim then, but great at other times. There is an additional charge for this. Had to swap rooms as the fan in the bathroom wouldn't turn off, but the staff were really helpful in finding another room. There are areas of this hotel which need some attention, but it was clean, and the bed was comfortable and I slept well.

The property once looked beautiful, but now looks sad. The outside has signs of neglect. The common areas are better than the bedrooms, but still show signs of needing improvement. Our room was uninspiring and the bathroom clean, but tiles and ceiling in shower mouldy. The toilet seat was stained! Breakfast was ok with a small selection of pastries, cereals, juice and cooked items. But tinned mixed fruit and plastic bread not good! We stay in hotels a lot, but this one would not be recommended by us.

When we arrived we wanted something to eat but was told they weren’t doing food because there was a wedding on, we arrived at 8.20 pm and was tired luckily we were able to order a pizza in. The room was ok the bed was comfortable When I went to have a shower the next day the shower wasn’t working I telephoned reception and they offered to find us a different room to shower in. Which I d clined because it was a faff and my husband has disabilities so not so easy for us. She offered us a complimentary breakfast which we also didn’t want because we weren’t hungry. I was told there was no maintenance staff working so I asked if a housekeeper could come and I was told they were not available No offer of someone to come and look at the shower at all. I was told it was working the day before but it must have broken over night . In the corridor outside room 115 the carpet was soaking wet as it squelched when you walked in it. They have obviously had a leak. The plug socket in the bedroom was broken and we couldn’t put the plug in. Overall the hotel was barely just ok. It’s very run down, staff didn’t seem to care about solving the problems When we checked out the man in the queue before us was also complaining about his room.

Check in was great & the hotel staff were very helpful & polite. We booked 2 standard rooms & they were very basic inside. The rooms desperately need updating, it is such a shame because if money was spent on the hotel it could be incredible. The gardens & outside space is great. When waking up Saturday Morning 23rd May we heard a loud bang outside our window then the whole hotel lost power. This was a complete pain as we couldn't shower or flush the toilets as we lost water as well. Sadly we would NOT stay at this hotel again until it was refurbished it felt very tired & unloved.

I have stayed at this hotel before and know to have a reasonable stay you need to book a deluxe room. I did this and when I arrived I was told it was not a dog friendly room despite having called ahead to confirm before booking. I was given a room which was for three instead which basically had a single bed instead of a dressing table. A tv which could only be watched from a single dining chair set in a corner. The bed was a small double which creaked and the bathroom was falling to bits with a stained floor. It is a shame because it is a convenient hotel for me but having paid for a deluxe room and being given that room was really not acceptable.

Staff were really helpful but the hotel is a bit tired. In the first room I was allocated the shower didn't work properly so I was moved to another room. This was better but one of the sink taps was loose. General maintenance could be better. Breakfast was good but they ran out of eggs on the second morning so choice was limited. Plenty of parking and a lift for the upper floors. This hotel could be really nice with some investment put in!

The bedroom is clean, sheets and mattress are comfy. The bathroom was dirty, there were fake tan marks on the walls and shower curtain. There was black hairs on the bath when I arrived. The shower has been installed too low, to the point an average sized person would need to crouch down to wash their hair. The shower head was also broken and didnt hold the position.
