The bath/shower apparatus is a challenge. Wonderful skillful plumbing but confusing and potentially dangerous when hot water at work.

As always, the clock tower is very clean, the staff is unbelievable and super helpful, the hotel is stunning, the breakfast is definitely the best I’ve had in the UK, and the location is very central. We actually walked from the Piccadilly train station to the hotel, no issues.

My check in was extremely smooth, Front desk Merina made it very easy, and I felt very welcome. Also check out was easy, receptionist made it smooth. This is the 2nd time to stay at this hotel, will go back again. Breakfast was good.

Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff, plenty of choice and food topped up frequently. This is our 4th visit but sadly our room was very unsatisfactory this time. Avoid room 153 at all costs. We were kept awake until the early hours with ridiculously loud noise coming from a nightclub. We then had noisy neighbours in room 154 which resulted in me calling reception at 3.03am to complain. How this room could be classed as premium is beyond me

The gentleman at the front desk, Patrick, was exceptionally helpful. They did their best to help me with my horrible experience with the hotels.com website. I was charged for a night I never wanted and hotels.com refused to refund me. To better understand, when hotels.com does not have availability for the date you want, their program automatically moves your desired date to a time in the future for a day when they do have availability. There is no specific message to let you know they are doing this and why. I will never use hotels.com again. Their on-line agent chat is a huge waste of time where you get routed to different "agents," and then have to explain each time, even after they claim they have read "the notes." I will be booking direct with the Clocktower in the future, or use a competitor.

This is an incredibly average hotel for the price point (£325 for one night). The room was up two flights of stairs from a lift - which was not advertised. The room itself was somewhat tired and basic, with poorly thought out design (e.g. the rainfall shower head was not high enough for someone standing at 5 foot 8 to use, the bedside locker placement meant you couldn't open the wardrobe). Whilst there are areas in the hotel that are nice, this definitely sits in the category of all style, no substance and, at the price point, we will not stay again given the much better options in Manchester.

Breakfast was great from the buffet. Lots of choice and good quality. Enjoyed the bar the night for of the stay. Great DJ playing music that was my type of sounds. Cocktails a little expensive but they're a happy hour with cheaper cocktails from six to seven.
