Have stayed here a few times before but first time in a single room and never again. Room I could cope with just, although for a decent size person toilet squeezed in tightly by shower so no room for a proper sit down. Added to this there were a few rooms on corridor given to a group of young revellers. Fine if consideration shown for others but no, 4.30a.m wake up calls for all as they came in but then proceeded to keep on moving between rooms loudly not helped by the fire door on the corridor between their rooms slamming loudly every time outside my door. Had words with hotel but told they,ve been warned every night they,ve been there and told to quieten down. Some people need sterner action though ! Positives are rooms are cheap in advance and nice sea views from some of the other rooms and near tram stop.

There is no entertainment at this property so please dont book on that basis, the walls are thin and the rooms are small. The staff are helpful to a degree but seem to decide themselves weather they can be bothered to serve alcohol or not. The lift is tiny, so if claustrophobic then dont use, the location is okay, its about .8 miles from north pier which isn't bad on foot, or a tram stop stright outside! The sea views might be good if youre lucky to have one, not so great if your view is to the rear of a backfilled. The rooms are also small and noise carries so much, so if you enjoy sleep, maybe its upto you. But this was definitely a budget stay so I suppose you definitely get what you pay for

I used this as an overnight stop after a theatre trip. Glamming up with a female friend, getting ready to go out, then enjoying a night on the town, before returning for a decent night sleep. The greeting was pleasant & professional, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The water in the shower was hot & plentiful. Our room view was literally a brick wall, but that was OK for us. But the downside was there was a kettle & 2 cups but no tea/ coffee/ milk/ sugar & no indication there should've been which i was very disappointed about!!! There were signs all over saying "no food or drink" but i went out & bought a tub of instant hot chocolate. There was a notice explaining the bar only opened if there were enough call for it, but reception would provide while you sat in 1 of the 2 lovely seating areas overlooking the seafront. The parking is bad. You pay £10 in cash, but if you pull out & return someone else may be in your spot & no refund given!!

Ice cold tiny pokey room at back of the hotel. Had to go buy a fan heater at B&M. The room would be more suitably used as a linen store. They need to maintain the hotel at a comfortable 21C in all areas.

Staff very nice and helpful, room nice, beds really comfy, and crisp linen. Basic shower room needs upgrade but worked ok. Downside, the room was next to the back of restaurant so staff smoked under our room window all hours, and where coughing loud so not nice. Also was freezing, waited for heating to come on in the evening and morn but didnt, left early morn as to cold and smell of smoke was off putting.
