Lovely friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. Nathan on the reception was all ways helpful. The beds were clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good. The hotel was warm and comfortable. It’s a little dated but still a nice hotel not far from the local amenities and there is a tram stop across the road.

I’d booked a family sea view room and pictures was the reason I wanted to pay little more for that. The room was tiny with a small double so me and my partner struggled to stay on together and the bunk bed for my two children. That was unsafe as the ladder was loose. The view was half the sea and half the building as we was on the side. Mattresses was very cheap and uncomfortable. That room was not suitable for a family, barely big enough for two people. There was a smell of cannabis on our floor soon as we walked on the floor. I was woken up around 01:30 with the smell of cannabis really strong and had stank our room out. Next morning my one year woke up not acting right and blotchy face. We phoned 111 for advice and they instructed us to take her away from the smell. It’s worked! I reported this to who was on the desk at the time. Was told they couldn’t do anything but if it happened again to come down to the desk and report it. It happened again, it wasn’t has strong smelling but when I went down there was no one on the desk. The smell was coming from 311. The internet was ment to be free but would stop working after 20. We counted 37 times we had to reconnect and put our info in again. I don’t recommend this hotel for families it clearly isn’t and it was the end of the lights so wasn’t even that busy. I’ve stayed in some bad hotels and this is up there with some. I’m extremely disappointed and don’t recommend this hotels unless you have no children under 16.

We booked to stay at The President Hotel for 2 nights but our room was so cold the whole time we were there we stayed for only one night. We checked in, the reception guy we later found out was Nathan wasn't at all interested or welcoming, just after 3pm got to our room and it was freezing, the window would not fully close and temp outside was around freezing and it honestly was not any warmer in the room. The hotel heating wasn't on and the little portable radiator in the room did not work. I returned to reception with said radiator explained it didn't work which he didn't believe until he plugged it in, then said he'll get another one, about 5pm we went down again and he said the hotel heating will be on shortly We asked him 4 or 5 times but he just wasn't interested We got in bed which had a crevice down the middle so I basically 'slept' on the base. The radiator in room didn't seem very hot, hotel heating went off about midnight and once again the temperature in room plummeted we couldn't get comfortable so not much sleep because it was so cold. In morning I went and explained to new reception guy and once again he said he'd try find a heater and that the heating will be on soon, it never came on all day! We went out for day but on our way out Nathan was cleaning rooms so I got him in our room so he could see the window and bed and feel the cold, he shrugged said not his problem as he not on reception. When we got back to hotel room still freezing so we decided to leave

Room full of bedbugs, dirty, clogged sink, no heating, people fighting by my door at 3am, dog barking at just before 7.30am, didn't have daily cleaning as advertised as my bed wasn't even made, internet signal non-existent in bedroom, cups and spoon full of dust and already used and sticky, cereal bowls at breakfast still had old bits of dried food as they weren't properly washed. When complaining about the condition of my room I was treated like if I was a posh diva and was given (not in a happy way) a key to a new room to see if it was "up to my cleaning expectations" but although the new room didn't have bugs anymore, someone had been previously smoking in the bathroom and the smell was unbearable for someone that doesn't smoke and the bed was against the wall shaded with the lift which kept me awake all night again with the noise.

The room was very small and basic, certainly not a sea view.I have mobility issues, and heart problems between the small lift and the narrow corridors it was not disabled friendly. It certainly is not a 3 star. The staff were friendly enough especially the dining room staff. The way it was advertised is not what it is like,I don’t know what picture that was taken of the room it certainly wasn’t ours.We won’t be going back.

A hotel full of dirty dogs that were allowed into the restaurant at breakfast. Hotel has gone further down in standards and operations a curfew at midnight and so you can’t really enjoy a show or Blackpool night out . Room 411 was not like the pictures and really run down A lot of elderly people reside in the hotel and it’s not a nice atmosphere to stay in . Intermittent WiFi, showers that are cold, portable room heaters and as mentioned dirty dogs barking all night in the hotel so you can’t get a good nights sleep . Breakfast there isn’t a vegetarian option and it caters to elderly people and their meat eating taste . A formerly nice hotel who’s standards have gone down more drastically
