Excellent location, literary 30 seconds walk from the harbour. Room was compact but we had everything we needed. Shower drain needs improving, water very slow to drain after two showers. Being located on the ground floor next to the front door we experienced noise of guests coming in and out at night. Breakfast buffet was small but excellent quality with à la carte egg dishes also available. 15 mins complimentary massage in the spa was a nice touch and the WhatsApp concierge service was a life saver for organising taxis and beach club bookings.

We had a wonderful stay at Castro Syros. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of the port and the center of Ermoupoli, making it easy to explore the town, shops, and restaurants. The staff was outstanding - welcoming, helpful, and genuinely hospitable. Despite being so close to the action, the hotel is situated on a quiet street, providing a peaceful atmosphere and excellent rest. We would gladly stay here again.

Nicely tucked off in the narrow streets, with easy and quick access to clothing shops, restaurants and bars. It is a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and provides you with a clean and friendly environment to rest your head.

I’m constantly amazed and disappointed in European hotels: (1) there are no doors or privacy in the toilet area, (2) in the 21st century can’t you make the toilet flush with a piece of toilet paper (?), (3) the shower has a 1” well that easily overflows, (4) the light switches are non-sensical, random, disorganized and cannot be figured out, (5) the A/C unit blew cold air up BEHIND the drapes (had to choose between a cool room and privacy).
Positives: The breakfast area was very nice and the entire staff was great and accommodating.
