Not sufficient lights in the room. Room attendant did not replenish facial tissue. Have to use bath towels to keep shower water wetting the bathroom floor. Shower and sink drain slowly. Too many steps between our room and elevator. Safe batter is low and thus we did not us it. The staff did not replace battery in the morning as promise. Front staffs are very helpful during check-in. I won't return to XO.

Centrally located hotel with spacious and well appointed rooms whilst still retaining the quirky charm of a traditional Amsterdam house. Buffet breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely helpful. Best hotel I've stayed at in the city centre

We stayed at this hotel twice, for two nights before a bike tour and one night afterwards. The location of the hotel is excellent, and we were able to walk to everything. Nearby was public transportation to and from the airport and to places outside the city. On the first stay, we had a room at the back of the hotel, and the noise level from the bars and restaurants was awful. On the second stay, we requested a room at the front of the hotel and it was much quieter. My only criticism is that the thermostats in both rooms seemed to be only for decoration. They did not actually change the temperature of the rooms, and the rooms were too warm for our comfort.

The room was clean & tidy. The staff were lovely & we were able to leave our luggage there until our room was ready. This meant we didn't have to haul them around with us & the same on departure. The breakfast was really nice. A great selection of hot food, cold meats, cereal, etc.
