What You'll Experience

Visit Doi Suthep Mountain, a popular tourist destination in Thailand as well as a Buddhist sacred site.
Slow down and appreciate nature at Angkaew Lake, a popular picnic spot with a picturesque view inside Chiang Mai University (CMU).
Discover Northern Thailand's stunning scenery and local hidden gems.
Explore the taste of Thailand with Thai hot pot, or "Moo Joom," which means "pork pot" in Thai.

Spend your vacation exploring Doi Suthep Mountain in northern Thailand, around 6 kilometers south of Chiang Mai. It is both a popular tourist destination and a Buddhist sacred site in Thailand. Rich in nature, Doi Suthep offers you the chance to live in nature and see one of the most breathtaking natural scenes you have ever seen.

Explore 'Wat Phra That Doi Suthep' an ancient temple on the hillside of Doi Suthep also known as 'Shuanglong Temple.' The temple is built on a high platform and covers a vast area. It was built under the supervision of King Guna of the Lanna Dynasty in 1383. It is named after two majestic colorful multi-headed dragons on the temple gate. On each of the two big dragon heads, there are 6 small dragon heads facing the sky. The body of the dragon is tens of meters long, forming the railings on both sides of the stone steps of the temple. The shape is peculiar and exquisitely carved.

There are many statues of Buddha in the temple, one of which is a statue of Buddha sitting in meditation. This Buddha statue is an important ancient Buddha statue in Thailand. There are only three similar ancient Buddha statues in the country, which were invited from Ceylon more than 700 years ago. There are many bronze bells hanging on both sides of the temple. Visitors come here to take sticks and strike the bells to pray for blessings from the gods.

Explore nature at Jingxin (Angkaew) Lake, which is located within Chiang Mai University (CMU), a photogenic reservior where you are welcome to come down and walk about, take pictures, and so forth. Chiang Mai University is a comprehensive public university in Thailand whose campus is surrounded by natural beauty. The main campus is located in the western suburbs of Chiang Mai, Thailand, at the foot of Suthep Mountain.

Enjoy the taste of Thailand with Thai hot pot. "Moo Joom" means "pork pot" in Thai (Moo: "Pig" or "Pork", Joom : "pot"), similar to the combination of Korean barbecue and Chinese hot pot. The difference from Korean barbecue is that Thai hot pot is mostly cooked in the traditional way, using charcoal over a fire, while Korean barbecue mostly uses a grill. The dining concept of Thai hot pot is very popular in Thailand and Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
