About Bawen Terminal

Spanning approximately 3,000 square meters, Terminal Bawen plays a crucial role in the regional transportation network. Directly managed by the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate of Land Transportation, this terminal serves as a major transit point for buses connecting several major cities across Java.

The terminal supports various routes, including those from Semarang to Yogyakarta, Purwokerto, Cilacap, and Surakarta, as well as vice versa. This setup facilitates comfortable and efficient interprovincial travel for passengers. Besides serving as a stopover for long-distance buses, Terminal Bawen also aids passengers in transitioning between different modes of transport more conveniently during their journey.

In addition to handling AKAP buses, Terminal Bawen also functions as a hub for Trans Jateng buses. One notable route is the Semarang–Bawen service. This route begins at Tawang Station in Semarang and ends at Terminal Bawen. Buses start running from 05:00 WIB, with the last departure from the Tourist Information Center (TIC) on Jalan Pemuda Semarang at 19:30 WIB. For return trips, buses depart Terminal Bawen at 19:10 WIB and finish their journey at Terminal Bawen and TIC by 20:50 WIB.

Ticket payments for Trans Jateng buses can be made in cash or through a non-cash method. For non-cash payments:

• Open the downloaded and registered application.
• Locate the QR scan or payment icon.
• Scan the QR code provided by the staff.
• Enter the payment amount.
• Check the notification that appears.
