Opened in 1848, the park is named after the Governor-General of the Australian Colonies, Sir Charles Augustus Fitzroy. Not only does it boast a magnificent view in every season, the Fitzroy Gardens also has Conservatory where tourists can find colorful flowers decorating the bridge. On top of that, the park displays Cook’s Cottage, the home of Captain James Cook’s and his family in England, that dated back to 1755.
