Whether you are at The Banjaran or Lost World, here are the experiences worth prioritising.

The core of any hot spring visit, and both options do it well. At The Banjaran, the pools are quieter and set within a more manicured natural setting. At Lost World, the pools are more varied and the evening atmosphere is livelier. Both draw on genuine geothermal heat rather than artificially heated water.

Both The Banjaran and Lost World feature natural thermal steam caves — caverns where steam rises naturally from geothermal activity below. Spending 10 to 15 minutes inside before cooling off in the pool is deeply relaxing, and the cave setting makes it feel quite different from an ordinary sauna.

The Banjaran offers a proper hot-cold circuit: geothermal steam cave, then ice bath, then warm pool. This contrast therapy approach is well established for improving circulation and reducing muscle fatigue, and with staff available to guide you through the sequence, it is accessible even if you have never tried it before.

Available at both venues, the Garra Rufa fish pool is a foot exfoliation experience where small fish nibble away at dead skin cells. It is harmless, slightly strange the first time, and oddly satisfying once you settle into it.

Both venues require swimwear in the pools. The Banjaran provides bathrobes and towels as part of the day pass, but swimwear is not supplied at either venue, so pack yours before you leave.
