We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Mondial, the Family Rooms on floor 4 were clean and tidy with lovely balconies. The road outside is very noisy, but the insulation blocks a lot of it. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Central location, about 20min walk to the Square. Rooms were also spacious. We didn't have a smoke smell which I was worried about, and the staff pointed out it was no smoking on arrival which was great too. Little bit of noise from bar above on one evening (music) which finished at 11pm on the dot.

Overall, it was a good hotel. Breakfast was okay and they transferred us to a better room upon request as what we had in mind when booking was 2 single beds instead of a 1 large bed. They do accomodate requests which is good. Heating and air conditioning is superb. It is also accessible and walking distance from the main attractions. The only down side was the reception upon our arrival. We arrived near 1am and there was no one in the reception so we had to wait for almost 30 mins until someone came. Cleanliness wise, its okay but we found a piece of used cotton buds just under the bed and my friend started to itch when he got under the duvet but as we turned on the heating, it wasn't much of an issue for us.

Regardless of when the customer leaves the hotel ( 4am) all POS ( points of sale )should be active and working. If I have paid with American Express every other time I’ve stayed at your hotel, I should have been able to pay with it, checking out at 4am.

The room was clean and the breakfast menu, while simple, was good. There wasn't any variety day to day which was slightly dissapointing. The coffee during breakfast was only coffee from the pot or an espresso from an older machine. The room was clean, although the heater didn't work as well as we liked. The area is quite walkable and you can get to the square in about 25 minutes. There is a grocery store nearby and a lot of restaurants in the area. The staff were good as well. The sauna was out more than it worked and the two times we tried to reserve it, it was broken. Overall, this was a decent hotel.

Our bedroom was spacious with an Olympic sized bed. Very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with a big shower cubicle.
The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good range of dishes to choose from.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
My only minor complaint was that the rooftop bar was very smokey and uncomfortable to sit there. I believe there is a dedicated smoking section but this was was ignored. The smell was such that we stopped using the terrace bar.
Overall a great hotel in short walking distance to all the main sites and town centre. I would stay here again.

We had an incredible experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—they were genuinely kind, attentive, and friendly. The holiday decor for Christmas was magical, creating such a festive and cozy atmosphere.
Our room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was perfect for planning our days and staying connected.
The location couldn’t be better—close to all the main attractions yet peaceful enough to enjoy a restful night. Honestly, this was one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back!
