It was the best accommodation in my life. Located very near by Cradle Mountain visitor centre. After climbing you can take a rest. They have tubs with boiling water system. I took a bath and relaxed my body.

Friendly welcome by Sam at reception, and we loved our Pademelon wood fire cabin! Perfect for the chilly weather and to meet our friendly residents - pademelon mum and baby, the rowdy pied currawong couple, hungry echidna and a very persistent brushtail possum who tried to push his way into the cabin when we wanted to get a log for our fire. The vintage DVDs were god-send - thank you. We managed to beat the crowd and avoid the shuttle by heading into the park early - but remember to display your national park pass on your dashboard (which we forgot!). Cradle Mountain was different and interesting - bring your hiking boots, a big heart, and be prepared for all weather possibilities.

Location was amazing. I had a log cabin surrounded by the forest, across the road from the Cradle Mountain Visitors Centre. Cabin had a kichen (fridge, microwave, stove/oven, kettle, coffee pod machine), living room and small dining table for 2. Bedroom had a large bwmed, bathroom had shower and separate bathtub. Views were awesome. For heat, there was a small radiator and electric blankets, as well as a wood burning fireplace, with a good supply of wood. It was already set up for me to light. My only concerns were: the bed was waybtoo firm and I didnt sleep well. The fireplace was great but I woke up twice during the night and had to add wood. But overall, I liked the stay and cabin

Tallowood Spa parking approx 30m+ to cabin - not close if carrying large items. Cabin itself was good experience/condition good. Clean, quiet, warm with wood fire (wood supplied). Shower water pressure good and hot. Close to visitor centre and parking area , shuttle to Dove lake and other walks. Good location for exploring park including driving distance to Cradle Mountain Lodge and Devils Sanctuary.

The cabin was clean and well appointed and the gas heating, combined with double glazing and great insulation, meant that it was very cosy. The layout of the cabins on the property is such that you had the impression of being the only ones there - great privacy. Being opposite the Visitor Information Centre meant that we didn’t need the car for three days.
