The room was not cleaned well - found eyelash curler attachment on the floor by the bed - not under it which made me think the floor wasn’t hoovered. The extra blankets were disgusting - with long hairs & debris all over it. A message at front desk on check in stated ongoing works - I did not expect before630am someone outside my room on the first morning rubbing down plaster from the wall - the noise was terrible, the dust came into my room. The wall was not touched again for the next 3 nights I stayed. The level of workers noise was ridiculous during my stay. The corridor was covered in dust - surely placing visitors on floors that are not currently being worked on would be better for guest experience? The fire alarm went off approx 7am on my last morning. I descended the emergency stairs to the smell smoke - I got to a level (3 I think) to tell the workers the alarm is going off but the amount of noise they were making they could not here it! I get down to the front of the hotel only to see staff and patrons going about their usual activities - I told the staff the alarm had gone off. They were not even aware. I explained I have just come down the fire stairs - I said can I go back in - they said yes! At which point the fire brigade arrived. Honestly, I am so upset I picked the location to stay. I went for a business event that required long work days & I wanted a central location and good sleep. I got the centralised CBD location without a comfortable stay I expected.

Saw room and walked out.. had to find another hotel…..

Staff were very helpful and accommodating after and the room was very clean and tidy. After having a long flight having these 2 things were nothing but a god send. I will endeavour next time to try breakfast at the hotel it did look more than appetising when I walked past in the morning. But overall this place was nothing but 5 stars from me.

No hot water Fan in bathroom not working

Although renovation works were advised to start via email at booking at 7am, my child and I were woken at 6:15 to hammering and workman outside of our room. Upon calling reception work was holted about 10 minutes later, it was an unexpected early wake up while travelling for medical appointments. Have stayed previously and will stay again once renovation works are completed.

It’s very central in the city rooms are big and clean and comfy, currently under renovation but all was good staff very welcoming

The hotel is currently under renovation so there is a lot of construction going on in the building. There were warnings about noise etc but we did not encounter this. Overall our room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. It was good value for money for what it was - a comfy bed to sleep in!

The best hospitality a traveler could expect. I can't praise the staff enough.

The staff, the room and location was excellent. Parking area very small and lots of renovations which is clearly stated on their booking sites. Most floors are being renovated so if you’re ok with a bit of noise in the morning and don’t mind the renovations around you then it’s perfect. We will return, family room was a large.

Very good price for a city hotel.

The rooms were clean and the staff friendly, the only problems was all the contruction going on. There was some noise from builders, but it will be great when the contruction is finished. I would stay there again.

Perfect location , little rooms but extremely clean .

I have stayed at this property before as usually on a busy trip so only needing a bed to sleep in. You cannot bet the price and if you excuse the renovations going on which didn't bother me at all it is the best and most reasonable place to stay. I had a renovated room which was clean and very comfortable. I was on the 5th floor so didn’t hear any renovations. If you only need a very clean bed and room for a reasonable price I would highly recommend this.

Generous size room with large windows and a view of the River and Southbank. It was clean, neat and tidy and in a very convenient location. It was just a 2 min walk to Casino and only 5 min walk to Southbank, shops, food options, buses and trains, which made getting around really easy. A comfortable and hassle‑free stay overall.
