Kangaroo Island Cabins

Such a hidden gem! The kangaroos and birdlife on the property made for an idyllic stay. Highly recommend!

Far enough out of main street but close enough to be handy

Just outside of Kingscote (probably 1 km), very peaceful location with visiting kangaroos. Comfortable rooms and one of the few we've stayed at that have microwave but importantly they provided some microwave dishes (the latter missing in many other facilities). Have recycling bin/facilities which is great to see. Good contact from manager who promptly addressed any queries. Some issue with WIFI which only seemed to work in lounge room and was a rather weak signal and kept dropping out (but perhaps that's a bonus if your trying to relax).

Enjoyed the quiet, bushland setting.

The property was in a convenient location and was peaceful. We found the property in need of a good clean and the shower was ridiculously tiny. There was plenty of hot water but wasn’t enjoyable because of the shower size. The air conditioner remote was not working so we had no idea was it was set on. We never saw a single person while there for 3 nights. We wouldn’t stay again.

It was quiet and comfortable but the shower is way too small and the TV was very difficult to use and control. Extremely frustrating to operate.

Stayed 3 nights, in a two bed room cottage , for touring the Island. It had a kitchen which was the main reason to stay there. The cottage was very quiet in a pleasant environment, and it did all what I just needed, good sleep, warm shower and cooking the meal, however it is fair, I think, to say that the place could be better maintained! As an example, the toilet was dirty and smelly as much as I ended up cleaning it with liquid soap, by myself, and the floor as well. Some windows did not lock well, though no one would come to the cottage. Some kitchen items could be replaced with new…. One would stay there, not for the comfort and the quality of the cottage, but convenience of it, for seeing the Island, so despite of the aged old cottage and not fabulous maintenance, if you need a kitchen, quiet and reasonably convenient place, one might well choose this place, I think. We were there in March, so no need of heating and cooling, so I am not sure how it would have been if it was very cold or hot…

Very quiet, loved the kangaroos that greet you and come to your door. Very happy with our cabin. Would stay there again if we went to Kangaroo Island again.

Over all very good

An older style cabin, comfortable, quiet and convenient. Perfect for out stay on Kangaroo Island as were able to cook at the cabins.

Basic, old fit out of stove, air con etc & quite cramped in bedrooms. Air con temperamental at first. Need hooks for bath towels and a toilet seat that stays on . Beds very clean & comfy. OK for 2 night stay if not fussy & bring /cook own food.

Best place to stay just on the outskirys of Kingscote, cabins have everything you need and to have wild life at your door is a beautiful blessing. Highly recommended..
