Mantra Charles Hotel Launceston

Good location, food is good, staff are helpful.

Avoid room service here, the food isn’t great and I’ve tried many times, over many trips. It’s the only thing letting this hotel down, otherwise it’s a great stay. Great location, helpful and friendly staff and the rooms are well sized and very clean.

The room we had booked for three nights had a terrible bed, one side firm and the other was so soft and uncomfortable. The TV was not working, the excuse given was that they had just installed new TV'S and for some reason ours was the only room that wasn't connected properly. The solution wait until the following day for someone to fix it. We ordered room service. I had a steak sandwich on sourdough, it was on Rye, soggy and steak undercooked. I ended up unwell and spent the rest of the night being sick. When we checked out the following morning the staff were unhelpful and stated because we booked through expedia they were unable to offer any refund for the remaining nights. We will never book with Mantra again. Beyond disappointing.

The breakfast ladies were friendly and welcoming. Hotel was clean and in a great position to walk around Launceston.

Wonderful stay. Staff were very friendly. Easy to find parking. The room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great accommodation,close to everything if you don't mind walking. Rooms clean and spacious and a very comfortable bed. Highly recommend

Pros - Well-maintained amenities - Free parking though the number of spots is a bit limited - Fairly late check-in cutoff for Tasmania (8pm) - Very comfortable king bed - Large bathroom Cons - Location is fairly far from city center/not very walkable - Breakfast is not included / extra charge

I liked this hotel. A little all from the centre of things, but had a view over the town. Good facilities and good everything worked
