Check-in (and out) was super easy. The staff was attentive and super helpful. The loft suites are superb and spacious. The location is terrific. The restaurants on-site are top-notch. The interior is oddly cool.
The downsides, though? Our door kept locking us out and we would have to go to reception, from the 5th floor using a relatively slow elevator, to get help to let us in. It would take an additional 10-15 minutes to get into our room (multiple times over a 3 night stay). It was a minor inconvenience, but the fact that we couldn't get a straight answer about why it was happening and the fact that it just kept happening was unfortunate.
The only other downside? The hot tub was lukewarm (like 92 degrees at most). Not a biggie, but after all the traveling we had done, we were hoping for something a bit more....relaxing. That said, we just went into the bathtub with the complimentary epsom salts instead.
Overall, I would easily stay here again and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Service was very lacking. The room and the hotel are very attractive but for the first two days we had no room service. The first day, we let the front desk know and still by the evening we had no room service. We needed to stay an extra night and were charged double the room rate we had paid for the other nights. None of the Expedia perks were delivered without us asking.

We had a very pleasant stay at Ovolo Woolloomooloo and would happily give it a 5-star rating. The food was delicious, with a great assortment at breakfast.
The staff were genuinely accommodating — even arranging a burger for us outside of normal hours, which was much appreciated.
Our room was excellent: modern, very comfortable, and still cozy. We were kindly upgraded to a more spacious room, which made the stay even more special. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and high quality. The only small improvement could be better blackout curtains, as early morning light does come through, but this was definitely not a deal breaker.
The waterfront setting is beautiful and perfect for morning walks.
Overall, a great experience, and we will definitely stay here again.

Our stay was average. The staff were nice, the location of the hotel itself was good. Only a 30min stroll to the circular quay/Opera house with gardens/museum on the way and plenty of fabulous restaurants downstairs on the wharf. Our room was wharf side on level 3 right next to the laundry room/ lift which was quite noisy, we were woken by a loading truck each morning. The bathroom lighting was quite poor and needed a decent extractor fan. Did have a nice cocktail in the bar area, the decor is pretty and inviting. Overall an OK stay.
