The Grace Hotel

Very helpful staff and a great location

As usual, the staff were extremely polite, helpful & courteous.

I have communicated with management but have yet to receive a response so posting here for others. We arrived to find the hotel car park full and non caring reception staff. Our suite was poorly furnished and lacked the appointments you would expect at this level.The complimentary mini bar consisted of 2 soft drinks 2 waters and 2 juices woohoo ! Many better hotels to choose from for a weekend stay in Sydney town.

My main grievance was the inability to cancel due to sickness. I understand that the cancellation policy for the hotel expired at 5pm prior to the booking date, but my wife didn't become very sick until the morning, and she attended the doctor at 1045am. I rang the hotel direct at that time, not after a refund, just a credit to stay on another occasion. The person I spoke to was adamant that he could not assist, as their cancellation policy expired 5pm the day before. I told him I knew that, but requested leniency in view of my wife's sickness, even offering to email them a copy of her doctor's certificate. He told me to contact Hotels.com, which I did, and the agent tried to negotiate a credit with the hotel, also to no avail. Again, I was not seeking a refund, just a credit to use another time, but this was flatly refused. After being refused the refund, my wife decided to come with me, remaining in the room, so the $285 wasn't wasted, as we were supposed to go to dinner for a friend's birthday. When I checked in the process was very slow, I was left waiting while the person went away twice to check, I can only presume there were notes to say I had made enquiries about cancelling. When we entered the room, there was an unpleasant surprise in the toilet bowl, which I immediately reported to the front desk. They did come and clean the toilet and offered a bottle of wine as compensation and a later checkout, which was really the only positive experience I had at The Grace.

The location and price point is amazing. The Grace Hotel is our go-to every time we stay in Sydney. We will return!!

Easy checkin early access to room friendly team

Very friendly and efficient Front Desk staff. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location that is walking distance to the light rail as well as many of the exciting places to see in Sydney.

Exceptional location and amenities for a city break!

Room was good, but shower was excellent after a long trip. Staff were helpful and friendly, including the car park staff (who helped us with our hire car).

Comfy bed, clean rooms great location

Great location in CBD. Manager that checked us in was very helpful & gave us a late check out which we really appreciated.

Clean and spacious room. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed.

Arrived 30 mins prior to our checkin time and was delighted that our room was ready for us. Our room was well appointed and bed nice and comfortable. Our breakfast the following morning was fresh and the food hot, with nice choices.

Good will stay again

Good, comfortable, transport, dining, atmosphere. Coffee in the building or across the road. Pub the same.

I like staying here and have done so many times. My mattress needs a replacement when feasible. There is a large dip in it - otherwise we will continue to stay and enjoy the hotel and surrounds.

If you’re looking for a clean, modern, family room in the heart of Sydney this is an excellent choice. We had a HUGE room with a king bed, queen bed and king single so it was perfect for me and my teens. Large TV which we could chrome cast to. Excellent bathroom with wonderful rain head and excellent ventilation. Pillows were wonderful. Free drinks too! Highly recommend. Breakfast buffet is not great and would recommend having breakfast elsewhere.
