One of the best place to stay for solo traveller. Located at the rocks area, from circular quay just walk about 10 minutes, or from wynyard need about 7 minutes. I stayed in 220 with bunkbed for 4 people. They have hot and cold water, enough space for luggage. You can buy/bring your own food then cook in the kitchen. The utensils quite complete. Easy check in/out and can go earlier check in like I did.

Absolutely loved my stay at YHA Sydney Harbour! The location couldn’t be better — right in The Rocks, just a short walk to trains, buses, and trams, and so close to the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The place is spotless, with super clean rooms and common areas. The staff are friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. I really liked the kitchens — fully equipped and perfect for cooking whatever you want, which made it feel just like home. And the rooftop view… wow! It’s simply breathtaking, with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House right in front of you. I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I’m in Sydney. Highly recommend it!

The room was small and utilitarian, but clean and safe. The breakfast was pretty great. The location was wonderful, although lots of stairs up and down to thw Circular Quat area where the ferrys run. We loved our stay at the YHA (Youth Hostile Association?) Due to how close it was to everything. The roof top bar had a great view of the Sydney Operah House (except when the cruise ship was at port and blocked the view), thw harbor, and the bridge. The ataff was super nice and helpful. The hotel (hostel) is built on an archeological dig, which is pretty cool. There is a "free" (they ask for tips which were well worth it and no pressure) ghost tour every evening that was really enjoyable. We.would definitely come back. The proce is pretty outrageous for a hostile, but for the location it was worth it compared to other hotels in the area. 8 of us stayed in 2 rooms pretty comfortably. They even have a kitchen and fridges that you can store and prepare your own food if you want. They also had a free baggage storage service after we checked out for thw afternoon before we left.

Absolutely loved my stay at YHA Sydney Harbour! The location couldn’t be better — right in The Rocks, just a short walk to trains, buses, and trams, and so close to the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The place is spotless, with super clean rooms and common areas. The staff are friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. I really liked the kitchens — fully equipped and perfect for cooking whatever you want, which made it feel just like home. And the rooftop view… wow! It’s simply breathtaking, with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House right in front of you. I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I’m in Sydney. Highly recommend it!

As an older traveling couple, we had never stayed at a hostel before. This was truly a great experience for us. We actually had our own room with its own private bath. The room was simple and clean, basic bed linens, no wall decor, updated bathroom, shampoo and bodywash was provided. Water pressure at the shower was awesome. We stayed on the 3rd floor which was the rooftop. And the view from the rooftop bar was amazing: the opera house, the harbor bridge, the downtown skyline, amazing! Location was great, walkable to shops, restaurants, the bridge, the opera house, downtown. This was a convenient location especially as we had a cruise booked afterwards. The cruise terminal was a short 10 minute walk. Thank you Sydney Harbor hotel for an amazing experience. If we are back in Sydney, we hope to stay with you again.

We loved the upper patio for a beautiful location day and nite. We lived the historical aspect of this property and the nearby archeological dig ongoing. We lived the handiness of the laundry and walk to the city ferry depot. Fantastic to say the least!

Really loved our stay here. We're planning to stay here again when in Sydney. Rooms are very clean with a great view! Loved the rooftop and morning sun. The only thing to note is that if you are staying on the 3rd floor, some rooms are on the end where you'll need to take a few steps down and is a bit challenging when you have heavy luggage.

The morning buffet was very poor, kept clean but limited items on it. The place was great and easy for walking down the steps to the rocks. The upper bar on the roof was with a beautiful view of the opera house , harper bridge.

Disgusting. The bathroom shower grout is black with mouls, floor filthy $400 a night an no clean towels. Never replaced the coffee mugs. Im disgusted never again. Hard to find. Staff admitted google directions incorrect. Took an hour to fined it from a 6 minute walk from circular quay.

I did not look up YHA before going to Sydney, Australia so I had no idea I had booked a hostel. We did have a private room and bath. Room was spacious and clean. There was no refrigerator in the room, but again; I did not know it was a hostel. Plenty of power outlets. Staff were friendly and VERY helpful. Location was great- easy walk to Sydney opera house and bridge. Beautiful views from the rooftop bar. Did not eat breakfast, but it looked very nice. Did not use the kitchen facilities or cafe. I was very pleased with the entire stay and would recommend as well as stay again.

Visited with 2 young children. Staff were friendly, the place was clean and convenient. Easy walk to circular quay/opera house as well as darling harbour area. Beautiful and fantastic location. The breakfast was simple but there was lots to eat, although no protein options other than yogurt.
