Hotel Carpinus

Great room - a bit hot but there was a portable AC unit which we did not use as it was a little noisy so opted not to use. We arrived late but they kindly made us hot food - thank you. Good location as we had to go to a funeral at the nearby church.

Quiet location apart from church bells outside window. Good choice of local places to eat and drink although not all open on a Monday evening so didn’t try the interesting and exotic options available onsite. Breakfast OK but limited hot food choices

Reasonable hotel in a the centre of the small town. Very good shower. Clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi kept dropping out. Had to pay for everything up front. Breakfast not brilliant- fried eggs were hard.

A nice size room and beautiful area. Slightly awkward room layout with the three beds but plenty of space and wonderful staff.

A small quiet hotel with a good breakfast and a different restuarant offering to what is usual in a small village hotel. Great vaue for the price charged and a bigger room than I would have expected. Will be my foirst choice when back working at my clients premises nearby rather than travelling a little further from one of the bigger cities close by

The hotel is set in a small quiet town so it was very relaxing. It looks like it has had a recent refurbishment, however it seems that it hasn’t been completed or someone has run out of money. Although the bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom is also very clean, I found a few issues with it. Firstly, there was a power extension lead hanging down from behind the TV with the cables from the tv and the set top box connected to it. Next, there was a WiFi point sitting on top of the desk and not properly located to the wall. Next there was a portable air con unit beside the bed with a hole put through the wall for hot air pipe , but it was not finished but the final issue was that some of the switches had electrical shorts which I could hear when pressing them. Even a do not disturb would have been handy ( I was woken up by house keeping even though I locked the door as I had been working over night.) If the hotel is finished properly, it will be a lovely little place. I didn’t have a chance to try the Sushi restaurant, but the guests I saw in there seemed very happy in there.

Never had such great service before. The manager went above and beyond what I expected, and helped to ensure our stay in this beautiful little village was amazing. Thank you Sir

Check-in was a little rough because a computer glitch seemed to erase one of my two booked rooms. But they did the right thing and gave us both rooms. The rooms were on the way too hot side when we came in. The air conditioner wasn't running and couldn't be hooked up properly, but one of the staff was helpful in cooling the room down in a few minutes time. The rooms were beautiful, looked recently renovated and the location was next to an old church that looked fabulous. It was a convenient location to Brussels and the airport. We missed the traffic but it only took 30 minutes to get there. A solid 3-star hotel. We didn't eat in the restaurant. The price point was excellent.

Desk clerk tried to double charge me. My booking was paid for with Pay Pal. Dried feces was on bath towel and mosquito's dive bombed us all night. Room was new and large. Thin walls. Large bed. Worked for quick trip to airport. Town was in a Flemish area. Nice people.

Bien situé par rapport à la gare.

At check the staff tried to charge extra (110 euro!) for the room, which we obviously refused.

Prima hotel, we verbleven hier ivm bezoek Torhout- Werchter. Alleen 15€ voor ontbijt is wel prijzig, ook al was het ontbijt prima.

Tolles Hotel, fußläufig keine 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt. Für ein 3*-Hotel war ich überaus positiv von der modernen Ausstattung und der Größe der Zimmer überrascht. Außerdem top Essen und freundliches Personal.

Bon service et confort. Parking publique lointain si arrivée tardive. Chambre surchauffée à mon arrivée. J'ai réussi à éteindre le radiateur de la chambre mais pas celui de la sdb. A lui seul, il chauffait trop la chambre. J'ai dû dormir fenêtre ouverte!

L’accueil était parfait (sauf que personne ne parle Français, mais ce n’est pas très grave). Chambre correcte et propre, mais l’église est juste en face, alors je vous laisse imaginer le son des cloches dès 7h du matin… La climatisation est assurée par un appareil mobile qui fait un boucan d’enfer. Il faut aimer le côté pittoresque de la chose. L’établissement est petit, mais relativement propre, et le personnel disponible.

After Some incheck issues (roomreservation could not be found, but after intervention of Hotels.com problem solved) I had a great stay in nice room. Nice Bathroom and very good restaurant (Indian dishes are great). Location is only 5 minutes walk from trainstation for 5 minute ride to downtown Leuven.
