Comfort Inn Hamilton - Stoney Creek

Never stayed. Tried to cancel a few days before due to a family and it was denied even if I took a reservation at another Comfort Inn in another city close to the family emergency. Not very compassionate. We stayed at another Comfort Inn in Belleville.

Guest bathroom not accessible when checking in? Told they’d be “fast” when I needed to pee first… I thought bathrooms need to be accessible to guests… Housekeeping need to clean baseboards in the bathroom. Showers need cleaned better making sure they get around the shampoo and conditioner bottles that hang on the wall and the pillows are destroyed from being washed too much and parking not suitable for the amount of rooms. Someone with a trailer was taking up 8 spaces. Location is close to a lot of stores. It was quiet considering we were so close to the highway. Didn’t even hear our neighbors. There’s a mini fridge and microwave. We didn’t bother with getting breakfast as we don’t eat first thing but coffee was always available. I wasn’t really expecting the place to be that nice. It was better than I expected but there’s still room for improvement.

A great value for Hamilton and nice breakfast and staff. Location. Is a bit far from where we had to be but made up for by staff and breakfast.

There are lots of stores and restaurants around. Simple hotel but has everything you could need. All the staff we encountered were friendly.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the overall condition and experience. Upon arrival, the room had a noticeable musty odor, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and proper maintenance. Unfortunately, those concerns were confirmed as I began to settle in. The towels provided were in unacceptable condition, with visible stains and even strands of hair present, which is far below basic hygiene standards. This made me feel very uncomfortable using any of the linens or amenities provided. Additionally, the overall state of the room did not reflect the level of cleanliness and care that one would reasonably expect when booking a stay. Beyond cleanliness, the environment of the hotel itself contributed to a sense of unease. It appeared that the property may have been housing local residents on a more permanent basis, which created an atmosphere that felt less like a temporary accommodation for guests and more like extended housing. As a result, I did not feel entirely safe or comfortable during my stay. Overall, the combination of poor sanitation, unpleasant room conditions, and an environment that did not feel secure made for a very negative experience. I hope that management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure future guests are provided with a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Uncomplicated setting, clean and relatively quiet. Breakfast area is a little on the small side but the fare was simple and tasty.

Everything was just fine for the price. Included breakfast was a nice addition. Though it’s not a huge buffet it’s more than just a continental breakfast which is nice

Hotel staff were polite and helpful. My daughter forgot her laptop and they called us right away. Offered to ship to us. Rooms were clean. One of the mattresses was pretty lumpy. Breakfast was decent. It’s just dated, but it’s affordable and perfect for a quick one night stay.
