So I booked a pet friendly room and made a special request notifying the hotel I had 3 dogs. So I travelled to the Metro Inn only to find out that in fact I didn’t book a pet friendly room and they never received the special request about the dogs. The front counter attendant said they have no more pet friendly rooms and they have a strict policy stating only 2 pets per room. I don’t know the gentleman’s name who manned the front counter, but he made a huge exception and gave me a room for me and my 3 pups. He also helped me find a parking spot for my truck and uhaul trailer. Yeah the hotel is nothing to right home about, but that’s what I wanted as I have the dogs with me. So this employee went up and above the call of duty. Thank you again!

They are in the processing of adjustmet from the old owner and renovation but customer service was excellent and they have everything I needed for a place to stay, very reasonable for the price 👍 safe environment too

This place is convenient for what I needed to do football game and the pubs in Brentwood, which is less than a seven dollar Uber ride to the Brentwood pups. Parking is great. The area has improved immensely as it is much safer vehicles are not being targeted with break-ins like they did it in the past the city of Calgary and hotel and Motel owners have done a great job improving this area and I will continue to stay there for the convenience, great staff and service

You get what you pay for. Tub was full of water underneath and fell while getting in for a shower. They were able to come empty the water after I reported it but did nothing about the fall. Poorly maintained room for the most part.

The room was not cleaned! Broken bathtub /shower handle , slime toilet seat cover, hole on the wall near of towel holder, the box mattresses were rocking every time you turn around ,etc. We took some pictures if you need it! We were afraid to touch anything around but we arrived to late in the evening to do anything about it!

The bathroom mirror was dirty and along the bottom of the mirror it looked like someone spilt toothpaste all over it. The Kleenex receptacle was broken. As was the hair dryer. The bed was higher at the foot of the bed than the rest of it. Overall rundown. Photos shown online are definitely staged.

Toilet was dirty. Shower had pubic hair in it. Bathroom door was hrs to open and close. Bathroom door knob screws were extremely loose. Thought it would break loose and lock me in there. Room wasn’t cleaned on second day. When I asked staff they said they only do this upon request. Thought that was strange, especially since they didn’t inform us of that when we checked in.

Room had bugs. Cigarette burn in the bed cover. Bathtub had a dirt ring around it and was dirty on the bottom. Looks like it hadn'tbeen cleaned in a long time. Sketchy area of the city, which I didn't know. That's a me problem though.

The first night I was in a HORRIBLE room. The bathroom door was broken in five places so it could not hang properly, it scraped on the floor when you went in or out. the baseboards and other painted surfaces had many scraps in them. The sink had black spots that I could remove, so was not cleaned properly. it was freezing as AC had been left on and no blanket, just bedspread, I got my blanket out of my car. There was no phone in the room. The TV was unpredictable, sometimes loosing signal in the middle of a show. The tub or sink was rusty, I can't remember which. They did not have the second set of sheets on so you are not touching what the last person in the bed did. However, the next morning the staff gladly moved me and that room had none of the problems except wasn't as clean as could be. I thought I was paying over $200 for the room, but guess I was on US Expedia as that was American. That's my bad, but I paid over $300 as it was Stampede time in Calgary. I really should ask Expedia for money back as that is worst room I've seen in my life!!

This motel needs a lots of upgrades. The old smell makes the room very uncomfortable to stay. No AC so the room was so hot and the air circulation has a stale and stuffy smell. I paid $1399 for 5 nights during Stampede time from July 02 to July 06, 2026. The rate should be less than $100 per night. They need more staff working to do house cleaning service. Otherwise, it is very convenient for traveller who want to take train downtown. The Banff Trail station is right in front of the motel. A little noisy and you can still hear the train although you closed the doors. You can check other hotels next door such as Comfort Inn, Aloft, Holiday Inn Express, on the same Banff Trail NW Avenue.
