Guangdong Hotel

This hotel is very convenient for our stay. It’s walking distance for us do most of our shopping including the nearly pedestrian street. There was renovation on the floor where we stayed but it didn’t cause any inconvenience to us. We were given another hr stay after the check out time at 2.00pm. Will choose to stay in again if we happen to be in Shenzhen.

Competitive price. Good location. Close to sub-way.

The price is reasonable, it's just costed me around HKD550 per night. Good location, and it's just 5 mins walk to the subway and shopping mall.

Clean hotel, friendly staff even through an late check in, bathroom walls were see-through though so be aware of that.

Over all experience is good, Value for money. The facility is old, need to be upgraded. Good location, near train station and shopping area. Hotel staff are friendly.

Hotel location is perfect, but hotel is in need of overhaul. Staff are great if you speak Chinese or Japanese but good luck if you only speak English. Super perfect for shopping at the 1009’s of low cost market area. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Overall fun weekend.

The hotel is very comfortable with helpful staff. Take exit C from Laujie station and go over walking bridge

Ther are many Japanese restaurant and bar around this hotel, it is very convenient location for Japanese travelar. There is a shuttle service to Hongkong airport. It takes about 45~50min. to Shenzhen airport by taxi or subway.

The hotel is clean and staff are very helpful. The wifi could not be used on the last day. The English name of the hotel is not familiar to the locals as it is known by another name in Chinese. Asking for directions to the hotel for the first time was a problem.

Hotel staff very friendly. Room very cleaned. Many Japanese staying here. Nothing to complain about after staying for 3 nights.

This hotel is really quiet and a great place to stay for the price. The beds are very comfortable towels and linen are very clean however, you could smell cigarette smoke in the towels. I did not purchased the breakfast package but I did enter the kitchen to checked out the breakfast and I was not impress. Other than those minute details I highly recommend that you stay in this hotel if you are ever in Shenzhen. It is front and center of all the happenings in the city. The staff were very pleasant even though they speak very little English. Overall good experience

Nice stay, hotel staff were friendly, seemed like it catered mostly to Japanese travelers as the toilets and lights were very much Japanese style. Everything was clean, not a huge room but good sized.

The charges for the room were outrageous compared to the room size and room facilities. Right next to the Lao Jie/Guo Mao area which are considered as good shopping places was a plus (for people who are there for shopping)

We had a great relaxing stay at Guangdong Hotel. Everything was very comfortable.

My new hotel of choice for Shenzhen... I can only assume the reports of being old were prior to a renovation. Bed was comfy, and the toilet seat, wow!

Hotel is ideally placed to get the best out of shopping and venturing further afield by MTR trains.Staff were excellent and always helpful though having a partner who spoke Chinese was a great help. Hotel is nearly opposite the Dongmen Shopping Centre and behind that is Dongmen Pedestrian Mall which is huge and will keep everyone shopping happy for a week ot two. The Dongmen MTR station is also here. Another station Guo Mao is also located within 5-10 mins walk away. Had problems with internet connections and hotel put a specail router in the room. Signal was excellent but other than sending a small gmail which took 7 mins to go through no web pages were available. Reason. Chinese Government blocks the internet unless you have a local sim card. Hotel should have known this.We had two mobiles and a Samsung tablet and could not access the internet anywhere, even the free one in Starbucks. Overall great stay and very pleased with the hotel . Would recommend or stay agin if we returned. Warning to visitors .. avoid Lou Hu area around the border area, too many touts pestering you. Also Hotel name in English is not the same as the Chinese name and taxi drivers get very confused. Changing currency was easier through the hotel and gave an equivalent of slightly better rate to the bank..
