After the disappointing welcome, things improved, other receptionists were very pleasant and helpful.
The array of fruits at breakfast was amazing. More cereal choice would have been nice and plain, unadulterated black tea sachets were virtually non existent. We did manage to get 2 Liptons teabags one morning.
There is no restaurant in the hotel other than for breakfast. There was no bar either on the first night but there was the following nights.

Clean room and welcoming staff. The housekeeper was a sweet heart! Breakfast was just perfect and I loved the coffee machine. Great location with easy access to tourist spots.

Habitación amplia y cómoda, personal muy atento y servicial, excelente localización cerca del centro histórico. Lo único fue que la habitación daba a la calle frente al hotel y por la noche se escuchaba mucho ruido, aún el el 5to piso. Si es de dormir ligero eso puede ser un inconveniente. La habitación tampoco cuenta con acondicionador de aire. Por lo demás, excelente estancia.

Always a great stay at this hotel. Michelle, the front desk lady is so nice and helpful. Will continue to stay here every time I go to bogota. The rooms are clean, modern and have a nice view of the city park

Clean room, but excessive use of air fresheners, in the room in the hallways, everywhere. Polite, well trained staff at reception, not so much at the breakfast buffet. Big groups come first thing in the morning and eat all the best fruit.This is not replaced. When I asked the staff if there is any more, she rudely said “No” and walked away.
Good location right next to La Candelaria, and one block from the Gold Museum, gets a bit questionable after dark.

We loved our 5 night stay at Hotel BH Bicentenario! We felt completely safe with the extra layers of security, the location was absolutely perfect for walking to restaurants and shops, and we never had trouble getting an uber when we needed to venture to more distant parts of the city. Juan Diego at reception was so helpful and efficient (with perfect English) and we found the common spaces to be chic yet inviting. Breakfast had a variety of choices and we appreciated that it opened very early as we were able to eat before our tours began. Our room was large and sleek; we especially loved the floor-to-ceiling windows with the electric shade. We did hear city noise, as this is a vibrant part of Candelaria, but it was never enough to keep us awake. The shower was awesome with great pressure and plenty of hot water, the mini fridge was perfect for storing some light bites, and the bed was super comfy with plenty of pillows. Highly recommend!

This hotel is ranked as a 4 star hotel. However, it’s more like a 2 star hotel. The property staff is very nice. However, my overall experience at the hotel was bad. They gave me a room in the third floor with view to the park in front of the hotel, meaning it was always noisy and my view was not nice since the park is full of homeless people. In addition, the hot water in the shower was not working and the sink was clogged. I found weird that the room didn’t had AC/ heater. Bogota was very cold at night and I was freezing in the room. This was a very disappointing experience. Will not recommend staying here.
