The location and style of this hotel made our trip most enjoyable. Highly recommendable.

Best location!

Despite some definite advantages, my impression of Wake Up was tarnished by the check in experience. I am perfectly okay with being told the room isn’t ready and having to wait, and it is reasonable to charge extra to guarantee you can check in on early arrival. BUT— When I first got to the hotel around 11 am, I was told the room wasn’t ready (no surprise) and to check back at 1pm, although the official checkin was 3pm. No problem, although the 8 euro fee to leave my luggage was something I have never encountered before. But when I come back at 1:30, a different clerk says “The room is ready. To check in before 3 will be another 40 euros.” I declined, parked myself in the lobby. An hour later, another clerk asked me if I wanted to check in. I asked if I still had to pay extra, since it wasn’t yet 3pm. He said I had misunderstood the previous clerk and that a higher grade room was being offered for the 40 Euros—this is simply not what the first guy said Great location, and for Copenhagen reasonably priced. But some of their costcutting measures really detract from the experience. Rooms are quite attractive, bed comfortable enough, but curtains are too short to adequately darken the room. while the bed is a double, there is only one pillow so small that if you turn your head, you fall off the pillow.

Loved the area. Staff was less than helpful. Room rarely cleaned. Had to beg for clean towels daily. Rooms use very tiny and bathroom shower floor had mold around drain. Overall wouldn’t stay again despite amazing location.

My only negative comment was that there was noise coming from the hotel in the back of the Wakeup Hotel and thus had to wear ear plug to sleep.. nothing due to the hotel itself or that the hotel could do much about!

Never was so much money paid in return for so little. No free water, no mini fridge, tiny room.

Perfect pit stop for one night. Can’t beat the location

Room should have been described a a pod

Wake-up is rated 8.2 primarily bc of its location which is great. It’s a short walk to nyhavn, round tower (recommend), Strohet. Unfortunately, we found our rooms were very small even for European standards. Our hotel in Amsterdam was twice the size. The carpet looked and felt dirty (glad we brought our slippers). Per their eco policy, we had to ask the front desk to clean our rooms daily.

Rooms are fairly small but perfectly fine for a weekend break and have everything you need. Hotel has good communal spaces. Hotel is in a good location for getting around and nearby shops.

While the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, I didn't love this hotel and wouldn't stay here again unless necessary. The Wakeup felt very impersonal and the room was weirdly depressing. But my biggest complaint is that I was charged a fee to store my bag for a few hours. Travelers can rarely arrange their travel plans to arrive at their accommodations after check-in time, and often need to store bags until rooms are ready. I was told that this is a new trend. Maybe this is true, but the hotel I stayed in the night prior (not available for a second night), doesn't charge to store bags, so I'm skeptical. And even if this is the new trend, the nickel and diming is getting tiresome. The only way to fight back is to not give these companies our business.

A small room, but very well designed. Great location. Great value. If you have two people make sure you are very comfortable together. It was perfect for my wife and I. Not great with a friend or adult child.

Very conveniently located.

Location, location location. The room we had was very small when compared to the hotels rooms in USA for that price. But overall good value for a short stay when visiting Copenhagen.

The property was very nice, rooms small, but clean. The only issue I had was all the up charges, example luggage for an hour.

Does what it says on the box!

It is a nice and clean hotel. It is central to major attractions, public transportation, and plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars near by. Friendly staff and check ins/outs are seamless. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a great value for money for an urban vacation. Copenhagen is a great city but very expensive so we found the Wake up hotel to be a really great option for my family. The hotel is very centrally located and walkable to almost every interesting place in the city. The staff are super friendly and helpful and really made an extra effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are small and were comfortable enough for this kind is urban stay
