Close to a National Park with really good walks

NOT SAFE, do not stay here. I live in Ecuador and have come to this place a few times. However, this time I brought my elderly parents. My dad, 75 years old, got altitude sick and had a hypertensive crisis. It was 5:30 in the morning. We immediately had to get out and get to medical care so we drove to the gate; however, despite telling the guard what was happening and confirming that our booking was fully paid through Expedia, they refused to let us out and said we needed to wait until 7 am!!! It was truly unbelievable and they would not change their approach. Finally the front desk lady came and allowed us to check out, after 30 minutes of urgently and stressfully trying to negotiate with the guards. We felt trapped and incredibly unsafe. Heaven forbid the medical crisis was more urgent, I can’t imagine what could have happened. When i asked the front desk lady why they could not just charge my card on file or call me and get the card details so we could prioritize getting my dad to care, she said even though they take the credit card at check in they don’t keep it on file for whatever reason, and she stood by their policy that no one is allowed out without reporting to the front desk during business hours. Absolutely do not recommend this place; medical emergencies can happen any time and you do not want to be held captive during one like we were. They don’t care about anything but your $40, and this experience is one i never wish on anyone.

A lovely place in the misty forest of the Andes. The facilities are greatly revamped since my last visit. It is a world class resort with a great price.

Beautiful hotel. The hot springs were amazing and they have lovely hiking nearby.

Fantastic experience. The spa experience was one of the most relaxing ones. The hike was easy and beautiful. The entire property was well laid out and made us feel like we were having a private experience

What an amazing experience! The resort was so clean and surrounded by beautiful sceneries. We got to the hotel early so they stored our luggage and we were able to go hike from the resort. When we got back we checked in and enjoyed the pool area. At night we soaked in the hot spring in front of our room. The place is so quiet and very relaxing. It was one of the best part of our vacation!

Everything was wonderful! The room was amazing & having thermal pools right out the door was very convenient. All of the staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was also great, with enough vegan options to satisfy. Highly recommended!

Outstanding location and facility. Quiet, safe. A paradise within the mountains. Staff extremely professional. Everything worked perfect. The cabin are well maintained, top bed!! Close by trail was amazing to hike. Dinner menu was delicious. A lot of options.
