Musty smell in hall and room. No bed side lamps, no way to turn off the bathroom light, permanently on. Hair in sink plug. Fan broken. Pigeons woke me up on window ledge. Lift broken.

No parking as advertised. Staff were very casual - often sat on their phones on the sofa round the corner from the front desk. There was nowhere to hang the shower hose. It was just loose over the bath. They did fix it once I told them, but I would've expected it to have been addressed before my arrival. The windows were a bit broken and there was pigeon mess all over the sills. The view was very derelict. Overall it was ok for a place to lay my head on a work trip, but there's plenty of room for improvement. If the staff occupied their time by checking rooms/corridors for maintenance issues or cleaning rather than sitting on the somewhat dilapidated sofas in the lobby, they would do much better.

Don’t book here unless you are happy with broken furniture, stained carpets with burn marks, curtains hanging off a single hook and not covering windows. A bathroom window in the shower/bath facing the street without frosting or efficient covering. Old bed, full of lumps and ridges, only fit for the rubbish tip, stale cigarette smoke wafting through passages and random pieces of furniture and hoover in the passages. Staff catnapping in “waiting area”

The hotel was a shambles I was moved to 3 different rooms due to broken TV with no remote, the next room had no curtains in the bathroom looking out onto the street. The last room I saw had a shower that didn't work. I was then moved to another hotel in the same company, This was better but barely, dirty hallways stained carpets and the Foyer smelt like sewage.

Pro’s. The room was very large The beds were clean and comfortable enough for a couple of nights. The towels were clean The bathroom was clean The staff were really friendly and helpful The parking was a bit expensive but right behind the hotel so useful. The hotel was close to the seafront The Wi-Fi was fine Con’s The carpet was filthy. Stained and obviously very old. Some of the plug sockets didn’t work The furniture was very old and a bit tatty There was a hole in the bathroom floor The bath had no plug. The window in the bathroom looked old and tatty. Overall, for a couple of nights for £100 the hotel was fine. The staff were really helpful and friendly. If the carpet was replaced and the owners did a trip to ikea for some new furniture and curtains, it would be a good place to stay.

Very run down with no signs of trying to fix anything. Friendly enough staff, but clueless. I had to move rooms after the first night. The radiator in room 218 couldn't be turned off and it was 25 degrees. The ceiling in the bathroom has water damage from above and the plaster was cracked and falling down. The second room I was given, room 317, had more problems. The window had broken seals, so let in a lot of wind and noise from the street. I found 2 empty Absolut vodka bottles wedged between the base and mattress. The mattresses were cheap, thin and uncomfortable. The bathroom stank of sulphuric sewage and became unbearable. The electrical sockets made a high pitched wizzing sound when switched on, which made the lamps flicker. Very dangerous. I was supposed to stay for 3 nights, but left after 2 to stay on a friend's sofa.

A warm welcome. The hotel has obviously been recently refurbished, and very clean. The ensuite bathroom needs the same attention. I was fearful of using the shower as it is very basic (a curtain to be pulled round a bar over the bath) and insecure, and the bath needs re enameling. No bedside lamp means having to get up to switch off the light. However, I should emphasise that I think it is really good value for money. Great for one or two nights.

The room was acceptable but could do with a new curtain rail. We had to ask for assistance as we were frightened to open and close the curtains. Also the ceiling in the bathroom was badly stained. So there's room for improvement. The beds were comfortable. Okay for a short visit.

Great location, very near sea front, pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops. On-site car parking is a real plus! Room was clean and tidy, but a little bit dilapidated - curtains worn (difficult to open/close) and no plug in bathroom hand basin. Overall, good value room for an overnight stay, but clearly scope to improve in a few areas.
